I sometimes feel angry on behalf of restaurant staff when they get unreasonable or illogical complaints about how dishes are served or made. If you know you're a picky eater, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

_Look at the menu_ before you go in! Can't these people read?!?!?   Look, I get being on a restricted diet. My husband gets migraines from wheat, barley, rye, spelt, and all of the grains related to wheat. Makes going out difficult. So, we always read the menus _before_ being asked to be seated if we've never been to a place. Then, on May 31 of this year [2024], I had a heart-attack. And my diet had to change *_drastically,_* making it basically impossible to eat out. Haven't been able to go to any of my favorite places, because _I am not allowed_ to have any cholesterol or saturated fat, and need to keep my sodium intake way, way down. So, we've pretty much stopped eating out as a result. Because there's no way to ask a restaurant to make that level of accomodation. Although, I _did_ go to one place and ask them what they could do for a recovering heart-attack, and my waitress went so far as to bring out the bottle of cooking oil that they use so I could look at the nutrition label. Basically ended up doing steamed veggies and a piece of salmon over noodles instead of their usual noodle bowl, and it was perfectly fine. My husband and I even went back, because they'd been so nice to me. But … and here's the key … I made my dietary restrictions *_MY problem,_* not theirs. And I asked, and looked for, what I _could_ eat. I _did not_ demand that they make something that I couldn't eat with tons and tons of alterations. The sheer level of entitlement by these people!

@@johnnyblade1293 it's cheaper to be entitled in your own home! Lol half the time substitutions are basically taxed onto your bill. I just am in disbelief that some people have high serving standards for your typical chain places that pay their workers next to dirt.

I am proud to call myself a picky eater and to make requests like this. No cilantro, no onions, and some times, no corn
