Babby, assembling the deviled eggs on site is a revolutionary technique for me. Transporting devilled eggs to a picnic has been a harrowing experience in the past. I once watched my girlfriend eat decimated devilled eggs out of a tuperware with her fingers. You've protected me from seeing that again, and anyone else from going through it. We owe you our lives.
@lucasgondreau7880
@lucasgondreau7880 3 жыл бұрын
Haha! Sounds like a harrowing experience. What I do is put the filling in a plastic sandwich bag, and come food time I snip the corner and pipe it in. Makes it super extra presentable that way!

@rosebunnylove
@rosebunnylove 3 жыл бұрын
I"m crying. If I made and transported mine I'd have to have a separate container for my candied bacon and jalapenos. But yes, it's much much easier to just break down and assemble when you get where you're going. My mother-in-law doesn't like the white but likes the filling so I have to make a baby container for her. Also, my entire family revolts if I don't make the deviled eggs each year. All that said, sometimes you just have to get dirty depending on what you're eating. BBQ is one of those things and so are deviled eggs. Just accept it and enjoy the food.

@@wren8657 Which conspiracy theories would those be? Kuwaiti incubator hoax? MKUltra? Gulf of Tonkin Incident? Poisoning of alcohol during prohibition? Or maybe you mean bigfoot and flat earth. Real conspiracies like the government & media peddling false information to get us into a war (1st & 3rd examples) are associated with the absurd to delegitimize them so people like yourself are unlikely to believe them. As for Covid, it's estimated to have a survival rate between 97% and 99.75% and if you aren't elderly or immunocompromised that number will be higher.

If you push the yolks through a fine mash strainer with your thumb, it makes a very smooth deviled egg filling. Also put the finished filling into a quart size plastic bag and when ready to fill the eggs, cut off one corner for an impromptu piping bag. It makes for easier transportation and filling. I also put pureed marinated artichoke hearts in my filling. Try it, it will change your life.

If you put the "Devilled" filling mixture into a sandwich bag first before you put it in the airtight tupperware you can use the sandwich bad as a makeshift piping bag on the picnic site to pipe out the filling. Just because it's a picnic doesn't mean we can't be fancy for Afternoon Tea 😜

A couple tips: after making the Muffaletta, you can carefully press the sandwich between two sheet pans and balance a bunch of cans/heavy things on top for several hours before eating to get those flavors in, and flatten the sandwich more for eating! Also a drop of your fave hot sauce into the cup of the egg white before putting in the yellow mixture gives an interesting kick!😋 Personally I dislike Dijon, and would replace it with deli mustard, but that's just my opinion...😅
