Pico is more expensive and would more be competing witht the normal Quest 3. The 3S is a completely different starter model and is much cheaper and still has tons of features like the 3. On the 3S you can play the same games as on the 3. And Meta's game library is huge compared to the Pico's.

Pico 4 is only 350$, 'Ultra' is 500$ and the Ultra hast double the screens than the Q3s which makes it dark on the sides. Also you have to add on the Quests always a 'strap' for another 50$-100$ if you don't want to get headache with it's cheap-strap comes with it. Ultra, has 256GB and 12 GB ram, Q3s has only 128GB and 8GB, wich is only for stupids today, Ultra has depth-sensor, so you don't know or are a liar. 😂 So yes, the Q3 is better than the Pico, but only if you have the founds to buy the 512GB-version. 😉

@@cyber_habanero Dont call someone stupid and become one, 3s is for beginners with so many game options. Why would they be stupids to buy one? What about warranty of pico? With one year and you can even get extended warranty for quest and get the whole set replaced if damaged. Where to buy Pico 4? they are not even in stock to buy. And you get 30$ store credits and a brand new game with 3s which comes under 300$. You can get strap for 20$ unless you need extra battery backup with bigger strap. And you dont really need 12gb ram as we dont do multitasking in VR and 3s comes with Snapdragon XR2 Gen2 unlike pico 4 has Snapdragon XR2 Gen1.

It's ok, if you like the Q3s, buy it, that's the good one, everyone can get what he/she likes, till Zuck rules the full market and sells all your data to Cambridge Analytica and others. 🤣 On your guaranty-fear, Pico will be around for another 2 years, be sure. But Pico-headsets has never showed such probs like 'Meta'-headsets all the time, with their 'Elite-Straps' crap, recharge-plugs burning and stuff... The meta quest 3S actually has way more in common, with the 3 than with the 2. It uses the exact same CPU all the same cameras, the same controllers. It has the same full color passed through the only thing it shares with the 2 are the lenes. It's basically a quest 3, minus the pancakes and the headphone jack. It also has better battery life than the Quest 3.

The Pico headsets are not a viable option for countries like the US and Australia because there is no local supply/support. If the Pico 4 Ultra included a DisplayPort option, it may have been more attractive than a Q3 for PCVR, but this is not the case.

Hey... at the moment, I'm using both the Pico 4 Ultra and the Quest 3. Honestly, the Quest 3 has a sharper image, but I still prefer the Pico 4 in most cases. It's just a lighter headset. I don’t play games from the store much, except for fitness games. Unfortunately, one of my favorites on the Pico 4, Mutrix (a better version of Beat Saber), doesn’t work on the Ultra. But since I have a good PC, I can play Mutrix via Steam on both headsets. Anyway, I enjoy playing both Beat Saber and Mutrix. I like both headsets, and I'm glad I don’t have to choose between them. I just got both.
