The main thing about bulking for me is getting fatter. It's really hard to be lean (I never was competition level just to clarify, but I think I had around 8/9% bf) and then see yourself getting fatter and fatter each week... It's been quite of a mental battle to not quit the bulk, cause even after I could appreciate the muscles growing quickly I just was like "I'm already a bit bigger, I could cut and I'd look way better than before". That was my thought almost every morning for the past 3 months.

Currently doing the first very strict reverse diet in my life: I'm adding about 50-100 kcal daily per week since Christmas. So far I haven't gotten any fatter which I would call an absolute success. I'm planning to do this until March and do a short cut afterwards.
@enriquesuarez7113 Жыл бұрын
adding 50 to 100 calories is virtually nothing and you will see no changes, because the sheer uncertainty in calculating calories let alone how many you burn is already WAY bigger than 100 calories and you burn more on accident very often. I must go at least 500 calories surplus if not more. I am talking purely from experience. Also if you haven't put on ANY fat at all, its also a red flag since its thermodynamically impossible to put on any muscle without putting at the bare minimum at least a bit of fat, which means you are not bulking at all. If on top of that you are only doing it until march you might as well not say you are doing any bulk at all, cause you will not be making any changes to your body whatsoever

Make a good weekly program which targets every muscle twice per week. For example push/pull/legs. Progressive overload every exercise, do reps of 8-12 according to what exercise are you doing. Rule of thumb, if you can do 12-15+ reps, increase the weight. Also involve as much protein and complex carbs as possible in your diet and drink lots of water through the day

This is an unpopular opinion, but I think bulking in the summer is by far the best. It’s easier to get sunlight and keep your testosterone high, which is perfect for building muscle in the winter time. Sunlight is pretty sparse in some areas which is going to negatively affect your sleep And motivation and by extension your gains. furthermore, in the summertime, the pressure/desire to stay lean is going to make it easier for you to stick to your diet because you don’t have a fluffy sweater to hide under if you take that extra helping of food

I agree that is flawed. It does provide information accounting for both height and weight which can be effective. The categories, not so much, especially for someone with lots of muscle mass. I would say it is at least a better metric than a mirror since we're comparing quantitative vs qualitative.

@@PictureFit I like that you took into account that people with a good amount of muscle mass can't really rely on BMI. However, BMI also has a lot of issue with different ethnicities, bone structures and the like, that is why I really dislike it. Its shady origin (an analisys of only people from a handful of European countries) doesn't fit with the natural bodies of a lot of people around the world. You should bulk usually around 8-12 weeks if not longer, getting fatter is natural. When cutting you’re gonna initially lose glycogen and water in the muscle making you look a bit smaller rather quickly after starting the diet. Once you get to your desired weight and increase to maintence cals/eat more carbs you’ll see just how much muscle you gained into the bulk

Please do a video on body leaning. Everytimes I tried doing home workout, my body tend to be bigger which eventually makes me look shorter and bulky.

Try intermittent fasting, to me it's the best way to get and stay lean. Also, big shoulders will make your waist look smaller

@@ab-15188 no problem, don't forget to ease into it. You're probably gonna feel completely drained the first couple of times, but once you're used to it feels amazing

Question: does boxing after or before the gym kill youre gain??
@dsssds8200 Жыл бұрын
Doing intense cardio before weightlifting tends to be counterproductive for training with progressive overload in mind. I'd recommend doing your boxing training after lifting

Could you make a video recommending some ideal diets to follow? Especially if they're easy for someone always busy. I have been struggling with this and I find that alot of the information I find online is contradictory. I don't mind how boring it is I just want to get the results I need. But I don't want to be neglecting the vitamins I require. I'm aprox 5'11.5" & weigh 173 pounds.

For me personally 22% body fat is WAY too high. I've always been lean and having more than 15% makes me feel fat

I was unable to bulk past 78kg mark, so I gave up. And now am cutting, to get rid of my baby fat on my face, to try looking better in the summer.

Just start eating more than what you eat currently, estimate your weight through a week span and see if it goes up or down and if it goes up, keep doin what your doing. But of course this doesn’t mean just eat whatever you want whenever, make sure your getting in a high amount of protein.
