Nice video! I propagate mine every few years. I use 50% sand, 50% washed coco coir (not the chunky one), with great results. The roots/corms on mine are exceptionally healthy. The roots on mine actually grow quite deep into their pot; your larger brown pot is about what I use, and should grow them well. I use regular tap water for them, vs the RODI I water my lithophytic and epiphytic orchids.

Hi Maria I have a question. Itis not regarding this orchid but the catasetum. My question. Why sre some of the butbs developing roots and some are developing another bulb ? Others are not developing bulbs or roots, it is frustating because I have over 200. Should I put them where they can recieve more light so they can root faster ? I would check online and see if any of the orchid nurseries in your area carry them or you can also check Amazon and Ebay as well and see if perhaps you can find a vendor that ships to your location. Situated? Try using the word positioned. Situate means to fix or build in a certain place or position. You fixed the situation in which the poor orchids were suffering by changing their position from one infested pot to other clean pots, repositioning the corms.
