Thank you for watching...and they aren't doing as well as I'd hope...I keep prolonging the update and hoping I get more action. It was stated that it could take several months before anything happens so let's just hope that's the case. LOL!

OMG!!! I held my breath and my heart skipped a few beats. Oooh that knife.... Thank you for putting the baby to bed. Lol!!! Yeeessssss!!!! I can breathe now. Hahahahaha!!!! PS... Admiral (my dog) had to come up to me and check what the heck was going on as I shouted “Yay!!!” and raised my arms up in the air. Lol! Another PS. Love your getup on this video. Cheers from the Philippines.

HA HA HA!!! THEN MY WORK HERE IS DONE! LOL!!! TOO FUNNY!!! So you thought I was going to do the extreme propagation!!! I was actually very relieved that I didn't do the extreme propagation on the one with all the growths. I would've been heartbroken if the propagation went bad. I do believe this has a better chance of growing the new growths more normally without depleting the energy supply to the new growths! I am so glad you all talked some sense into me! LOL! ...and thanks for noticing my outfit...it made me feel wild and carefree...you know sometimes you have to dress young...to feel young...one day someone is going to come up to me and say..."The only thing young about you is your last name!" LOL! Ha ha ha! Thanks for watching and much love you in the beautiful Island of the Philippines! MABUHAY!!!! :)

Hello, Maria! Good luck with those plants!) I would not cut it too))). Happy growing!
@PictureMaria16 жыл бұрын
Thank you dear! ...and yes...I don't believe it would've been to her best interest...some of the growths were already at a pretty nice size and to cut may have caused them to abort them. I just wasn't willing to take that chance. So in this case we lay her flat and let nature take its course. Thanks for watching and hoping all is well with you dear friend! HAPPY GROWING! :)

glad you took the safe way! hope she does well, and I hope the extreme piece with rot grows well too! good luck,

...yea I am so relieved as well...I was really on the fence with this one...but many of you were on the same page with my views and although I can be bold at times, I really believed in this case the more subtle approach would be the most beneficial for this orchid. I am hoping that both propagations work as well..it would be exciting to see them survive and grow!

My gosh! If you had put that knife to your own finger I doubt I would have cringed much more than when you held it above that big psuedobulb! What a relief when you simply laid it in the moss box instead.

LOL!!!! I KNOW RIGHT...IT WAS SCARY TASK TO HAVE TO DO...and that is why I couldn't do it!!! She was already growing some of her growths so beautifully so why bother a good thing....and I have to tell you it was such a sigh of relief for me as well...I'm glad and very happy I decided to to do it this way. :) P.S. I am such a little prankster wouldn't you say! LOL!!! HA HA HA! :)

Why is it necessary to cut off all the roots from your Catasetum before planting it?

You might want to make some holes for air
@PictureMaria16 жыл бұрын
No holes for now...I am actually sealing this with a lid to allow the moisture and humidity to further promote the growths. I will eventually transport into a container with holes.

YES I SCARED MYSELF TOO!!! Because I was seriously tempted to do the extreme propagation on it...but I just wasn't bold enough to take that risk.
