Wow! That was very well done. Stephen King describes terror as, "When you come home and notice everything you own had been taken away and replaced by an exact substitute. It's when the lights go out and you feel something behind you, you hear it, you feel its breath against your ear, but when you turn around, there's nothing there..” This short film completely embodied King's definition of terror in every way. I was so hoping to find feature length films by S.L. Allred on IMDB and came away disappointed. I hope he makes a full-length feature soon.

Aside from not calling 911 on the phone you literally have in your hand (script problem) she is the best actress I’ve seen in any of these short horror films. Her “Uhhh what tf??!?” face is so organic. And to be fair, at least for the first 4 minutes, my reaction would be the same. The absolute confusion would overwhelm the fear. I’d be like “I must be trippin”.

what is she doing with that mannequin in her home? I should get one and scare myself stupid!
@Frankie2012channel8 жыл бұрын
She could be a clothing designer and she's painting her home studio for meeting corporate clients. :D

Frankie2012channel then how come she didnt know it was there in the first place?
@Frankie2012channel8 жыл бұрын
Could be a new unfamiliar place that she shares with others, or she's in charge of painting a space that's not her business, or she wasn't the one who moved in all the mannequins. It's not that big of a plot hole, well at least not big enough to bother me much :)

top 10's on How to make the perfect horror film: 1-Have a unique creature 2-Have a unique setup on how the creature will be introduced 3-If you will have a jump scare incorporate the jump scare ONLY to the monster, it shows we should only fear the monster.Any thing else is a waste and directs senses to other objects being scary instead of the monster 4-Slow burn the creatures appearance, the viewer should only see the monster we needed 5-Create a sense of dredd no matter where the main victim goes 6-Have unique kills that are brutal 7-throw people off with kill patterns (the black guy doesnt always have to die first/the women doesnt have to always survive etc etc) 8-sometimes having a character killed off screen is best 9-Throw the viewer off with in your face viewing of the creature but have the appearance blurred so the viewer is unaware they are actually seeing the creature 10-Less is more

+rania dandis Horror movies really have found themselves in a character, cliche pit... The dumb one or slutty one always dies first, the black man always dies trying to save everybody else, a woman survives -- some movies are finally starting to worm their way out of this pit, but it's still horribly common.
@raniadandis75647 жыл бұрын
Cynthia King I totally agree with you , it's really boring to be able to expect the ending before it happens 😒 you can watch wolf creek to see a different arrangement for who dies first 👍🏻
@alwaysxnever7 жыл бұрын
Agree. And in the case of It don't use stock synth string hits and predictible music swells to undercut the tension you are building. I loved that movie buy a lot of films would be better if they used more silence.

This was indeed a refreshing change, so many are so quick to pick faults. So it is not a multi million dollar production...... But it was a great use of mis direction :-)

Okay, only a horror movie would have someone fearfully, horrifyingly reaching a hand up to see what is under the sheets when she knows someone is in the house, I WOULD HAVE RAN THE MOMENT I SAW THE DOORNOB PIC.

what is a car doing speeding in a parking lot? two why do you keep scrolling though the phone if you see the images get more messed up. i would have threw my phone away when i saw that it too a picture showing the future.
@australiumbacon55988 жыл бұрын
Nathaniel Wright with the pictures seeming to indicate that she was in danger, I would've kept scrolling to see what would happen and try to avoid it.
@lilith3388 жыл бұрын
Nathaniel Wright If she's gonna throw it away, then the film would not make any sense.
@Frankie2012channel8 жыл бұрын
I totally agree. Also I think it would take a little bit more time for the character to figure out IF these events can be avoided. Then the phone is a gift, a way to avoid danger. But it just shows events that you can't avoid, then it's like fate. You can't avoid it, thus at that time I'd chuck the phone. I'd rather live my life than be terrified as to the moment of my death every second. :D

I like how there’s barely any dialogue. I see some people saying that she should’ve called for help but what they don’t ever think about is that they’d probably make dumb decisions themselves if they were in the character’s position. You don’t have cops come over and investigate a supernatural crime scene. They’re not here to “ghostbust” anything except for crime. You guys did great! Well done.
