They take care of you all week they keep your room nice and tidy Place wonderful towel animals in your room. If and when possible take a picture while you're doing an Excursion. Taking a good picture of the whole ship while on those taxi boats. With your favorite staff members.(cruise director, playlist performers, etc.) Lastly while engaging in an ship activity. (Games, karaoke, dance)

What a fresh topic for the Locafam, Tony and Jenny! I totally added another section to my cruise notebook, labeled "photo ideas!" One idea that I don't think you mentioned: a pic of the whole ship, and maybe of your hand holding up the whole ship (from a distance!) Also a night ship photo, if you are in port late at night!

A pic of your stateroom before you mess it up. On debarcation day, leave late and take pics of a nearly deserted ship. I always take a picture of the ship at dock. I also took some beautiful pictures of a dining table overlooking the water at the back of the ship, at sunset. Thanks for sharing your own ideas. I will definitely do the life jacket photo on our next cruise.

I have to add two pics, a must have of your Cruise ship when in port or from the tender anchored proudly waiting for your return, and of course the hard working waiter in the MDR, who hustled to serve you, sang to you and tried to make your dinner experience the best.

I can't wait to take a picture of a sunrise on our Christmas cruise! I've actually never gotten up early enough on any of the 3 cruises we've been on to see a sunrise! The ship's coin is one of my favorite, just finding it is good. When in post, take a picture of whatever is special in that port; zipline in Labadee, in Roatan, to me is the anything everything at the Carnival port, in Havana, all the old cars, Half Moon Cay is the soft white sand. I could go on and on. I love architecture so one I get to a port I love looking at all the buildings and I do not mean the new ones right there in port. Get out and explore for me.

I always have had trouble finding these...we asked a crew member and he said we couldn't get to it on the Breeze, but I think he just didn't know. Can you always find the coin on Carnival ships?

My favorite photo is the one I took of the bridge (or is it called a walkway?) of the port in in Jamaica from the deck of the Royal Caribbean cruise I took 10 years ago. the view looked so pretty from the top deck. Never seen anything so blue.

I like this topic, and agree with them all. I'll give you another idea for a pic, my friend and I try to get 1st. The ships coin. Also, a long time ago on a tv station, in their commercial breaks they'd have some "life" tips. Could be any topic. Saw one on photography. They said for some pics, do not look through the view finder, just hold the camera up and take a pic. I did this in Grenada on tour, stuck my hand out the window, on top of the van and got a great shot, of the road ahead.

The Carnival photographer took a pic of us with the captain during the captain's reception. I also had a whale tail pic, a sunset pic while in port in Cozumel, the Puerta Maya sign in Cozumel, and the atrium. Plus a picture of downtown Tampa on embarkation. Unfortunately, my phone died on me before we got to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

We always take a panoramic photo from the top deck of each port before we leave for the day... My husband starting doing this a few years ago and now it's a given that he will be grabbing a panoramic of every port we visit.. and all those ports we didnt do this in the beginning???? Well we now have an excuse to take more cruises to get those photos!!! LOL

We take pics with the different staff (i.e. hairstylist from formal night, favorite photographer...I bought so many pics they knew me by first name, waiters, etc), getting on the ship, muster drill waiting, pic in the water with cruise ship in the background, pic in front of the ship at the pier, dancing with waiters pic, pic of everyone at the table in the dining room, and of course a pic with new friends that we meet on board!

I remember those days. My grandpa got me my first 35MM Camera for my 13th birthday. I would spend my allowance and babysitting money on batteries and film. Then get it developed only to find out I got two or three good pictures out of a roll of film lol. #thosewerethedays

@@LaLidoLoca Seriously, taking photos is the easy part. Taking good photos is the hard part and making video is even worse. You could have all the right gear but unless you have an artistic flare or your videos will always be crap. (When I say your videos I mean my videos) I haven't got an artistic bone in my body so I am thinking of doing one of those short film making courses they do at college here.
