Dear sir, thank you so much for the tutorial. Crystal clear explanation. Anyway, I have a few questions here. And before that, I am new to control engineering and I am sorry if my question is quite dumb. Anyway, hopefully my doubts can be answered. Thanks in advanced. 1) At 12:44, how to get the equation T dy/dt = -y + Ku ? 2) Again at 12:44, how to convert it from continuous to discrete? Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Great question! Here is additional information on the FOPDT equation: apmonitor.com/pdc/index.php/Main/FirstOrderSystems

Thank you very much for your video. I would like to make you a query. I have a PID controlled process (you can see it here kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIrJXmiam7Z8ipY) I want to optimize the values of Kp, Ki, Kd. I have generated a table with the data that results from applying a change in the setpoint. If with this table I calculate Tconstant, Tdelay, etc, or a PID calculation software, can I add the variables that result to the ones I already have and thus obtain more optimal values?

If you already have that simulator, you could try all combinations of your PID constants to come up with the best values. There are IMC and ITAE tuning correlations here as well: apmonitor.com/pdc/index.php/Main/ProportionalIntegralControl
