let me explain why pieck is the best waifu It’s a combination of factors. Just on a surface level, Pieck is cute and likable. She’s not as conventionally beautiful as Mikasa, for instance, but she looks good in a “normal,” relatable way, she has funny quirks like walking on all fours (which is actually pretty tragic but whatever), she’s snarky, witty and charismatic, and she cares for her peers more openly than most other characters in the series. Heck, her team of Marleyian soldiers all love her even though she’s Eldian, that kind of says it all. This is all compounded by the fact that Pieck’s Titan form is very, very weird and ugly-looking. (As a matter of fact, its initial design wasn’t even supposed to look like her - the Cart Titan was supposed to be a middle-aged man and IIRC editors made Isayama change it to Pieck?Anyway.) So we spent several months (years, for manga readers) wondering about this weird gonky Titan that was with Zeke in Shinganshina, expecting the Shifter to be equally gonky (because the other Shifters’ Titans all looked kind of cool)… and then there was this strong gap effect when it turned out to be a cute girl. They called it gap moe a few years back. On a deeper level, Pieck is one of the most competent characters in the series, and probably the single most effective among the Marleyians. Her Titan is small, weak and generally not a huge deal on paper, but: Without Pieck, both Zeke and Reiner would have died in Shinganshina; Without Pieck, Marley would likely have lost the various wars it got up to while Reiner & co were infiltrating Paradis; Pieck was the only Warrior to keep up with Zeke intellectually, the first to see through his deception, and even outmaneuvered him several times in battles that have yet to be animated; It was Pieck who saw through Yelena in Liberio and allowed Porco and herself to escape from the pit, starting the counter-attack against the Paradis forces; It was Pieck who made the most valuable contribution against the Scouts for that entire battle (which was decisively lost when Porco stopped following Pieck’s tactics and rushed in); Pieck single-handedly turns the tables in Marley’s favor and neutralizes or almost kills Eren several times in chapters that will probably be animated fairly soon; In the manga content that will probably be the second half of season 4, Pieck is the most pragmatic, intelligent and generally valuable of the protagonists and manages to fight on par with the likes of Reiner and Annie despite her Titan not being meant for combat at all. She does all this using realistic, down-to-earth, believable tactics, not Light Yagami-like BS or even Erwin / Armin-style near-suicidal gambits. Basically, the reader can see how she does things and why it works, and easily imagine a realistically-competent person pulling it off IRL. So yeah, Pieck is 1) attractive, likable and relatable, 2) competent and badass, and 3) surprisingly so. It’s not surprising that she would quickly become popular And I want to say one more thing! Now hear me out... Pieck is without a doubt best waifu in AOT for many strong and supporting ideas/theories. The amount of wow factor and overall delicacy, grace and sanctum around both her appearance, personality and even her personal skills. There is a definitive select of evidence to disclose and further prove this theory. I can cover all the obvious pros of Pieck but I'll try and make sure to account all the perhaps more minor pros and maybe even the potential cons of her as well. To start off, we all know for a fact that Pieck undoubtedly has a dump truck and easily the largest and most well shaped in AOT. Everything from the size, caliber, shape, and overall heftiness is just astonishing. I myself have analyzed an admirable amount of waifu bods, but I can say for sure that Pieck outclasses all I've seen so far. The shape of her dump truck is at an optimal curve, obviouly there is no real way to measure these 2d characters but if I were to predict, I'd say her hip curvature is going off at least a 140° incline going outwords. But how does she compare to other AOT females? Well to my conclusion, none of the other female AOT characters come anywhere near Pieck's astounding record. Moreover, Pieck's flumptuous passage is one of her greatest assets body wise, but its not the only thing making her a goddess. Pieck stands at 155cm which is notably short, even for a girl. This definitely helps her pull off a swell cuteness factor too. Of course, there are other short girls in AOT but they just dont have the same energy as our Pieck. And now, where Pieck's beauty really shines is in her face. We as anime AOT fans love the look of Pieck's drowsy yet oddly pretty look. In a way, it kinda reminds me of how people view Levi in a similar fashion. Lets be real, Pieck stands out from other anime best girls. She doesn't have any colorful hair, she isn't bubbly and over-the-top or trying to hold in her feelings for a certain man. Instead, we have this cool, calm and collected gal who is as sharp with her words as she is worth her skills. This quirkiness around her imo makes her far better than other anime waifus since her character just seems so real and feels like someone you could relate to in the real world. Character/ Personality is one of, if not the core attribute to deciphering a waifu. As good as appearance is, looks can only bring a man so far. But to really captivate an audience, you need someone who livens them as well. Pieck shines as one of the very few characters who have objectively done no wrong so far. Not only is she arguably one of the smarter warriors, but she has steadied herself through physical challenges all the same as well. When we think of the feats and scenes she has been in up till now, Pieck has done no wrong whatsoever. For instance, the first time we see this Pieck is back in s3 p2. Pieck was given the job of lookout for the scouts, and lookout she did. She successfully tolled Zeke and co about the scouts' arrival in time for them to prepare themselves. As well as that, Pieck spent the rest of the battle slowly bringing rocks over for Zeke to use. During the Marley war, Pieck was consistent with acting safe. She fully assessed the situation and knew that they should've just kept calm and acted appropriately while her comrades were rushing into combat and betraying them. And in the latest episode, we can see that Pieck's intellect is also very high. She managed to infiltrate the yeagerists and catch Eren off guard as well. If she wanted, she could have easily ended his life right then and there. Absolute badass In conclusion, Pieck is the greatest female in AOT and possibly one of the greatest best girls in all of anime... nice
