Dean mentioned in an interview that the actual Big Jilm is a guy who worked for Dean’s dad, and had a car detailing service. He pronounced his name like “Jilm”, his name was Jim Lemons, so it kinda was what they called him in the song. He died years ago, and they made a post about it

I generally agree. The more Brown the recording of the song, usually the more awesome live. The only song I can think of live that I dislike but like on CD is Ocean Man lol. I'd say King Billy, also... but they've only played it live once (but even Freeman's solo shows it couldn't touch the EP version imo).

Quick story; The late-nineties and I'm rocking out to Ween in Hollywood driving a 3-ton big ass box truck for work. I'd been pulling back-to-back jobs, with insane hours, so I'm a bit drowsy. Some guy pulls up next to me at a stop light yelling "Hey man... Hey!!!". I pop to attention from a half-sleep daze thinking to myself, ahhhhh what did I do? Guy yells from his car, "Hey man, is that Ween?" I smile - Stop light goes green and guy holds his fist out the window and as he pulls away yells, "I F'#$%ING LOVE WEEN ! ! ! " .... Me too man, me too.

Alot of bands seem to have a very superficial quality to them and seem to take themselves, their sound and what they write far too seriously. Ween are one of those very rare exceptions. They always look and sound like they're having fun when they play. There is just something so authentic and genuine about this band. They write whatever they feel like writing and it shows in their performance. Ween are just a delight.
