What a cool location. Definitely railroad ties still in the ground. Yes this place is absolutely beautiful. Think of all the men and women that would have been working there a century ago. Thanks for sharing Jenn.

Yeah, that's what I'm always doing when exploring these old ruins...daydreaming about what once was and how people lived. If you ever are in Philly, I suggest you explore this area. It's really interesting. Thank you for watching, my friend!

A lot of impressive artwork there. Yeah, I agree, somehow a place like that seems more appropriate for approved graffiti.

So this was interesting to me on a number of levels... I appreciate the tidbits of history on the piers of the Delaware. It's really such an interesting place. Often times in my travels for work I wonder about all of the property along the river seemingly forgotten and falling into disrepair. Generally speaking I abhor graffiti, and I won't even use the term graffiti "artists". But I will say if people are going to do what they are going to do, then this kind of place where it is all concentrated is better then people spreading that nonsense all over beautiful natural areas. And I really have to give you your respect, you explore alot of really interesting spots, this certainly being one of them. One of the locations I frequent for work is right next to that new development of condos or what ever they are. They literally built a new neighborhood right on the river there, crazy huge project! There is something appealing artistically about urban decay and urban environs, the renewal over time of a place... what it was, what it is, and what it may be... Thanks for the look around of places that have sparked my curiosity but I don't really have the courage to explore myself, "stay curious" my friend!

Hi Walter, thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. I've been enjoying your videos for the past two or three years, so your comment holds a special place for me. I completely share your sentiments regarding graffiti. I can't stand it when I see a rock or tree tagged while I'm out hiking. As I wandered around the pier, my thoughts drifted to all the laborers who spent much of their lives there. I suppose that when I see ruins, I sort of see people. Yeah, I'm a lil' crazy...lol 🤪.

I had been to the pier before but never really explored all the trails behind it. I was really surprised that they seemed endless. I'll have to go back one day and explore further..

wow..what a neat place:) There's a place down in southern york county(Glen Rock Ruins) that it reminds me of where they revived the area and turned it into an event venue. They hold art festivals and other stuff there. I read the comment below saying this one would be torn down...what a shame- it would have made a great venue!

I believe a portion of this recently collapsed and they’ve closed some of it, if not all of it.

Hi Samuel, that is correct ramp at the end of the pier collapsed and from what I've read they will be tearing the rest of it down. Not sure if it has happened yet. I'm glad I got there while it still stood. Thank you for watching!
