Another nice little tour. Those structures look really cool inside. 20:48 a porcupine would do that.

That's awesome... you found it!!! As Cliff would say, "I could totally have lived there!" That sign must be new, I've never seen that before...

yes, I found it! I love Cliff's videos, but "I could totally NOT live there." lol I was there years ago, and I never saw the sign, so yeah, it must have recently been added. Thanks for watching!

Great video Jenn. I love that some of those wooden doors are still there. I agree that there may have been a porch that those doors led to. So much in that one spot. Thanks for sharing 👍

Hi Kevin, Yes, most likely a wrap-around porch. If you are ever in Delaware County, you should check it out. I know from watching your channel that you enjoy exploring remnants of the past. There is alot to see in Ridley Creek State Park. I'm definitely going to head back there soon. Thank you for watching!

Jenn you pointed out so many interesting things at these old ruins that I never noticed, and I come to this park quite often. Your video really showed the beauty of this old structure. There are some other ruins in the park, but they are behind partial fences - so it's always surprised me that they leave this one open. Maybe it's more structurally sound than the other buildings? Also, around the 19:47 mark, when you point out the historic arboretum sign - that's the place I was in my most recent video. It's land runs right up against the state park and they have that high deer fencing to protect the gardens.

I'm thinking there is so many more things to explore in this State Park. The arboretum being one of them. I didn't realize it was the same arboretum until you mentioned in your video that the land was originally donated by William Penn. Small world. heh?....no doubt, one of these days were going to pass right by each other talking to our cameras! : )

@@jennsylvania1633 Yes, I also think you'd find the little cemetery on hunting hill interesting. That section of the park took tornado damage several years ago. If you are ever back in Ridley Creek or planning to go back, let me know. Maybe we can collab on a video together.

@@hikingoutdoorfamily Yes, I was actually going to look for the cemetery the day I was there, but it started raining. I will let you know ...I would definitely be up for collaborating on a video with you.

Great video Jen. Ridley is such a big park with so many neat hidden gems. It's amazing to me that structures like this are still standing after hundreds of years of neglect. And I agree, I wish folks would stop with the graffiti. We are gonna have to get you a machete, lol.

It really is a cool area to explore and from what I've been told, there's alot more down there. So I pretty much just scratched the surface. I'll have to get back there someday. with machete in hand. : ) Thanks for watching, my friend!

Iwas in one of those elsewhere in the park, when some rocks clooapsed from above without warning. Stay in the🎉 middle of those for safety as the rocks are 20-50#s and could crush your skull. Can't have that! 😊. Nice work BTW

Oh God...I never thought about the possibility of collapsing rocks, but yeah, probably something I should be weary of. I'm glad that you survived your collapsing rock experience! Thank you for the comment as well as for watching!
