Subscribe everyone and support this channel please 🙏. Shared this vid with all my friends. I really appreciate your hard work and efforts to bring us this footage. It’s tough to get enough light when night fishing bI’ll be going up to east side piers this weekend with good friends. I’ll be using crappie rigs with my salmon rods and a bell on the tip. Poor man’s lobster is so delicious and a beautiful fish.

It's also fun jigging straight down while waiting on the set rods to go off. They like to stay close to the pier wall too.

Nice video guys! Got a master angler burb from that pier last december. Conditions were similar with wind and waves...but below freezing. Very sketchy when it gets like that, the whole pier head and our reels were covered in ice

I like to use a high low rig for them. Quite often I get two on the same line. Kinda like perch fishing only the fish are 5-15 pounds.

Nice video! I'm on the wisconsin side, and the water is like bath water as usual😢. I tried Port Washington last night, and it was a bust. We always fish the harbors for them, never the breakwall. Maybe it's time to try off the pier.

Thanks for the info. Ice caught a burbot last year, with the water temperature in Lake Michigan 53 here in Chicago is that to warm for burbot?
@PierMichiganFishing2 күн бұрын
@@DanielPedraza-mc1zq I'd say that's just on the cusp for shore fishing for them, I'd say they are probably catchable but they are likely not in high numbers.

I caught a burbot in Germany while eel fishing in june or juli. It was very small though. I think you guys don´t catch them in the summer because you don´t go fishing for eel.
@Skyliner04s2 күн бұрын
Let me clarify here. Maybe summer burbot is a EU thing. BUT all the other things bros said, I´d put my signage under. Very good tutorial!
@PierMichiganFishing2 күн бұрын
@@Skyliner04s Thank you! During the summer here, the burbot are hundreds of feet deep in the deepest waters possible. They are catchable, but not without a boat, and nobody here really does it.
@Skyliner04s2 күн бұрын
@@PierMichiganFishing Sick! The lake I fish regularily is 110 feet deep, it warms slowly during summer. I think, whenn the wind is just right, even the shallows are cool in the summer. Again, small burbot, lake is rather deep, not that big (6.911mi²).

Is that the same thing as a dog fish

Depends, dogfish are another name for the bowfin too which look similar.
