I love how you guys always do some different stuff that a lot of people don’t understand or know about. And the rest of us might have forgotten about or just got away from doing.. Couple of questions. Are these lake trout getting ready to spawn, or just cruising around in fall feeding mode? Are these things edible? I have heard many people say that they are very oily, which is not a bad thing imho but possibly imparts a bad taste??? Can you harvest these in your area? What is the legal limit? @@solomonjacobsen8192 they’re pushed into the harbor to spawn on the rocks, but still very much on the feed. Lakers are on of my favorite fish to eat off the smoker! Limit is 3 per day. Tight lines!

ah yes the blade bait use the same stuff for sheepshead amazing how similar they are to lake trout in fight.

@ I usually just rip the blade up enough to feel it vibrate that slow follow it back down I snag less sheep that way on them too

Nice job guys. I just fished the lower Niagara in N.Y today got 3lakers to 18 lbs and 1 small ( 5lb.) Steelie. What i like about lakers is that they're native fish. Have been in the great lakes for thousands of years.
