Couple of questions. Are these lake trout getting ready to spawn, or just cruising around in fall feeding mode? Are these things edible? I have heard many people say that they are very oily, which is not a bad thing imho but possibly imparts a bad taste??? Can you harvest these in your area? What is the legal limit? @@solomonjacobsen8192 they’re pushed into the harbor to spawn on the rocks, but still very much on the feed. Lakers are on of my favorite fish to eat off the smoker! Limit is 3 per day. Tight lines!

Nice job guys. I just fished the lower Niagara in N.Y today got 3lakers to 18 lbs and 1 small ( 5lb.) Steelie. What i like about lakers is that they're native fish. Have been in the great lakes for thousands of years.
