Pierce County Humane Society takes in 13 abandoned puppies, 2 dogs within 48 hours

Within 48 hours, the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County took in 15 dogs from three different abandonment cases; 13 of the dogs were puppies.
The first situation began when Pierce County Animal Control brought in seven puppies they found in a duffel bag outside.
Two hours later, two German Shepard puppies were brought to the shelter after someone saw them being dumped on a property.
Shortly after that shelter intake, a delivery driver found four baby doodles in a cardboard box on the side of the road. Those puppies had two adult dogs with them and were all taken to the shelter where the puppies are still being treated.
“The four puppies that were found in the cardboard box, they arrived very weak and lethargic,” said Lindsey Heaney, with the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County. “So, our veterinary team has them in isolation right now just to monitor them, make sure they don't have anything more serious, such as parvo or giardia, which can be very serious and life-threatening for those puppies.”

Poor babies. We rescued our 2 cats from the shelters. If we were allowed to have more pets, we would adopt more. We hope we can adopt another dog. Haven't adopted once since our last one died of old age, who was also a rescue

It’s so sad to watch these poor puppies strive for life and love. Please be aware of what is needed to raise healthy well adjusted dogs. I’m sure they will be placed in good homes.

Very cute..... adoption fee for puppies is $500.00 ......No price drop until the become adult.....Please drop adoption fee.... Thanks ...This would cost much less then carry the pups for at least 6 months ...... Very sad ...

Those are huskies mix in case you guys are saying they are German shepherds, those are actually my dogs that escaped, and I couldn't find they're still 3 more missing. If I'm not counting these

Abandoned?!?! What is wrong with people?!?! OMG ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! What is happening over there?!! My heart is broken and I’m so angry. Poor babies! Call helping hounds in Syracuse NY see if they can help. Once the babies get the green light see call the SPCA, HUMANE SOCIETY SOMETHING 😭💔🙏🏾🙏🏾 have a big adoption fair but please please do your due diligence and do a proper extensive background check. Including a home visit! Too many ppl who are just looking for bait dogs and to have them fighting 😢

I want to know what's wrong with theses people dumping animals, if you don't want them take them to local shelter or give them to someone who will take them, also the holidays are coming up an animal is a nice present but a lifetime commitment if u can't afford it don't do it.

Most of these puppies were probably from backyard breeders thinking they were going to make a fast buck. Then they realized it's not so easy finding homes for them so they just dumped then! So disgusting! Or irresponsible pet owners who don't get their dogs fixed!
