Can we do same mods on f250 flatbed? Light dumping?

Nice . That’s some really good custom work. I like the bumper also. I like how it tilts with the bed and does not affect the location of the hitch. I’ve been looking at these lift kits. After seeing how you did it I’m going to order one for my truck. That frame you built is really nice and looks strong

Nice job I really like what you did. I want to get one of those kits now. Was worried about the strength of the bed but after seeing how you did it I feel it will be really good. Thanks for the great video

Thats a sleeper i like it. I had a simliar dump kit on an old k1500 and it handled everything well until i crushed the bedside when i dropped a log on it. Now i have a flatbed 8x8.5 dumper on my F350. Has a 20k pintle hitch built in and it has a regular reciever hitch below it.

Man that looks nice. I was worried about the stock bed frame. That’s why I have not ordered one. I seen a video of a guy that put one on his truck but the bed started to bend out of shape. But after seeing how you did this I’m going to order the kit and build a frame like you did.again great good man

So a gooseneck hitch is out of the question If you do this then?
@thunderroad7289 Жыл бұрын
Yes sadly. I’m working on a locking system right now to be able to do that. Once I’ve got it to where it’s safe I’ll make a video

Hey, I’m looking at converting my 350 Dooley Chevy, and had a question, the medium duty kit for a flatbed, puts it as mounting on top of the frame rails. But the hoist cannot nest underneath the frame rail and has to set flush, which makes it 11 inches of lost space before the flatbed Elevation. Is that why you nested it underneath the crossmember and reinforced it? Just trying to get some ideas before I take the bed off and custom build my flatbed. I actually already converted a 2500 with the light duty and it just with bolts on the tube crossmember About hoist nests underneath. To me it’s all about space and being able to keep my center of gravity down.

How much weight have you had in the bed since the supports?
@thunderroad72893 жыл бұрын
Two ton is max with it. The bed does not flex at all . The frame we built for the bed is super strong. We use it almost every day without any problems

Hey, very sorry I did not see your question I didn’t even get a notification on anything on this one. Can’t tell you offhand right now I’m not near the truck but I’ll be back at the truck tomorrow so I’ll check it and then I’ll let you know what gauge it was OK but I don’t wanna tell you until I actually physically get back to the truck to be able to look at it. I don’t wanna tell you the wrong thing.
