Perogi were only made by my grandma, and only for holidays. We looked forward to them all year. Store-bought just don't compare. I'm going to have to learn to make them if I ever want to eat another good one (or twenty) Cheese or saurkraut were my very favorite.

And you forgot to mention that in Polish we say: 1 [jeden] pieróg 2 [dwa], 3 [trzy] , 4 [cztery] pierogi but we say 5 [pięć] , 6 [sześć] , 7 [siedem] , 8 [osiem] , 9 [dziewięć] i 10 [dziesięć] pierogów [not pierogi] then we have 11-21 pierogów and [surprise!!!!] 22 pierogi, 23 pierogi, 24 pierogi... 25 pierogów etc etc :) 31 pierogów then 32, 33, 34 pierogi then change to 35 pierogów etc. 100 [sto] pierogów 101 [sto jeden] pierogów but 102 [sto dwa] , 103, 104 pierogi and back to 105 pierogów Polish grammar is Weird :)
