Managers complain that most people they hire lack any self-drive, and quit within days. In the last Conservative government, in which Poilievre was minister of "Democratic Reform," he used classic Republican style voter suppression which resulted in 172,000 people not voting in the 2015 election. That alone should be disqualifying. First Nation representatives, as well as past & present chief electoral officers, students’ groups, seniors’ advocates, academics, and former auditor general Sheila Fraser - all warned Poilievre and his conservative colleagues that their voter suppression scheme would disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of Canadians. And that is exactly what occurred! Poilievre is totally unfit to be PM. Conservatives are totally unfit to lead. They have no credible climate plan. Their plan is to get rid of carbon pricing - a proven market solution which lowers fossil fuel CO2 emissions causing climate change. The largest and longest ever study on carbon pricing proves that it works at lowering fossil fuel CO2 emissions growth rates. Alberta economist Trevor Tombe has shown that axing the tax would benefit the wealthy. People earning less than $250,000 get more back in carbon rebates than they pay in carbon tax. When will Conservatives ever acknowledge that climate change is increasing costs and causing hardship for Canadians?

Good to see Pierre being blanketed by the Elders in photographs shown from the Canadian Press. Would like to see the whole ceremony sometime. Every time he speaks, it is full of commonsense, and makes the current person unfortunately in power seem even more irrelevant.

He’s apologized for that long ago, move on man, he’s presenting an opportunity for real change, he sees the value in having reserves lead the way, they invest their money 100X better than the federal government now a days, once upon a time most First Nations had these stereotypes of not wanting to work and looking for handouts as they were stuck in a rut of generational trauma being passed on again and again, but times have changed and we are getting out there and making something of ourselves, First Nations governments could be the leading example of leading Canada back into a thriving country now that reserves are standing up to the corrupt chiefs who pillaged the resources that were meant for the people

Why should the wellbeing of Canadians be at the bottom of the priority list for Canada?
@j0n.p9 ай бұрын
@@just-a-generic-username Because it's exclusionary. The indigenous population of Canada is only 5% of the country. The majority, if not all of that 5% pay 0 in taxes. Tax dollars from Canadians should not be prioritized for non tax payers who don't even believe in "Canada" as a country. So yes, there's dozens of other issues right now that need attention first.
@just-a-generic-username9 ай бұрын
@@j0n.p So he can't talk about multiple issues affecting different groups of Canadians then? Seems like you're the one being exclusionary here.

@@just-a-generic-username yeah, me talking about issues that affect 95% as opposed to 5% is exclusionary. Good point.
@just-a-generic-username9 ай бұрын
@@j0n.p Seems like you're intentionally missing the actual point. Politicians are supposed to represent the people of the country. Poilievre has been addressing issues impacting most of us this entire campaign. One interview and meeting with Indigenous people is pretty proportionate and you feeling sour about makes it seem like you don't think those Canadians should be included at all.

1) Remove & replace RCMP with tribal cops in indigenous territories and communities. 2) Give land back to indigenous nations 3) Make Indigenous governments equal in all ways to the Canadian government. 4) Give indigenous nations a say regarding Canada and our foreign and domestic policies. 5) Provide us with jobs that don't force us to assimilate and work for non-indigenous companies that extract our resources but rather give indigenous nations the facilities and tools to create our own companies where our own nations have control and gain the wealth from those resources on our own lands. You want them, you should buy them from indigenous nations from indigenous people working for an indigenous company. 6) Give indigenous nations the right to form our own branch of the military. Our many nations shouldn't be forced to fight Canadas wars because we are separate nations with separate governments and we should have our own say in where we fight and don't fight. This would build better relations between our nations and help trust build once more.

@jimmiematho8082 foot the bill for what? Ceding back land and inherent heridatary rights? It's not a utopia... It's a reality. I suggest you focus on the nuances and solutions to the real problem. It's time to give back the integrity of land stewardship to the nation's that have a relationship to the land.
