During one of the most tumultuous times of his career, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sits down with Piers Morgan in a Piers Morgan Uncensored world exclusive.
The under-fire world leader insists he’s NOT trying to destroy democracy amid the worst protests in the country’s history over his controversial move to control judicial power.
Netanyahu also delivers a stinging attack on former US President Donald Trump, branding his dinner with anti-Semitic rapper Kanye West and white supremacist Nick Fuentes as ‘horrible’.

BB only cares about his own judicial problems. Instead of passing laws to change things FOR the people he is passing laws to PROTECT himself. Since the beginning of the year 8 women were murdered by their partners, the law to put electronic tags on abusive husbands was rejected last week. BB is lying with a straight face he is trying to turn Israel to another Poland or Hungary. He is up to trail for taking bribes naturally he wants to control the judicial system.

Piers is the ONLY journalist who can ask all the right questions with no ass-kissing at all, while even still coming across as proper, civil, polite, non-offensive. Case in point, Piers got this interview that everyone else eats their heart out over. And right at the start, Bibi says it's great to see him again and even recalls the last interview ten years ago. And chose Piers who, like himself, respects hard-hitting truth --- keeping things real.

Favorite part: Netanyahu feeling sympathy for Ukrainians for being exposed to war crimes and he would love to stop the horror. Oh the hypocrisy…
@שגיאשליט
@שגיאשליט Жыл бұрын
That's actually a very different situation given the fact that the Ukrainians have never tried to harm or eliminate the Russians or the Russian state, it is hypocritical to think of supporting the Palestinians out of a desire for peace and liberalism when the Palestinians themselves are led by people who think that killing Jews is merit points in heaven or that the appropriate punishment for gays is to be thrown from the roofs of buildings .... Where are all the enlightened democrats when Assad killed a million of his people with chemical weapons? The Houthi rebels who lead Yemen to a disaster on a huge scale and the Yemenis to die of hunger and diseases forgotten by the world? Where is the position of the Arabs regarding Iran with chemical weapons? Where is the position of the Arabs regarding the Western Sahara? Regarding civil wars in Libya? In the massacre of Kurds and Yazidis in the Middle East? In the elimination of the Christian populations in the Middle East (apart from Lebanon and Israel, there were almost no Christians left in the region).... Hypocrisy is the inability and desire to look at the facts and justice and point to the other as guilty. As Bibi said (and I am not one of his supporters or his government), if the Palestinians do not want to live by our side, this war will continue until they are convinced otherwise

Very proud of you Piers! You didn't give him an easy ride. And, as a Lebanese citizen, I can assure you that Lebanon would not be in the state or affairs it is in if the judges were not appointed by the corrupt parliament/politicians. Yes, judges are as corruptible as any other branch, but its a lesser evil then allowing the politicians to be involved. And he also let the mask slip by admitting the only place in the world where parliament doesn't appoint judges is the uk - the same place that is literally internationally renowned for adherence to the rule of law and the quality and competence of its court system.

I'm not an israeli, or know anything about Israeli law, but it seems like the issue to this is not so much the president getting to appoint judges, but more that he's going through a trial and the law happens to conveniently come out while he's going through this trial, which would help him.... if they really want to deal with the separation of powers issue, to give the appearance of not having any impropriety, it seems like a good solution would be to wait till the trial is over to push this.... lf the timing was different, it would be sound logic.... can't have unelected judges who are on Lifetime appointment status get to select other judges for Lifetime appointment status who aren't accountable to the people..... but then again, the media can be downright Liars so it's hard to believe what they're saying.. Donald Trump had the same thing going on when he was going through the Russia trial which happened to be a total 100% hoax fabricated by his opponents.. which literally shut the governance of America down for 3 years

Would Piers Morgan use the same aggressive interview method when interviewing Palestinian leadership if he got the opportunity? I doubt it. In most Western countries there is a balance between the 3 branches of Government and only 2 branches are democratically elected. You cannot have the judiciary branch rule over the other two branches as Benjamin correctly stated. Balance is the key.

Excellent interview 👍 Piers, however, didn't inquire about the series of changes the Supreme Court has gradually assumed since 1995, which can be seen as a quiet revolution without consensus. If these changes were established through legislation, it would be acceptable, but they were taken on by the Supreme Court without any legal foundation. [1] Everything has become subject to judgment, including political and non-legal matters. [2] Any individual can petition the Supreme Court, even if it doesn't concern their personal interests, leading to organizations submitting requests for politically charged non-legal issues. [3] The court has declared that Israel has a constitution, despite the public not voting on this matter. [4] Judicial decisions are increasingly based on the judge's personal beliefs rather than interpreting the law, even if it contradicts the law itself. [5] The court is striking down more and more laws, particularly those with political debates, and often favoring one side due to the judge's political stance. As a result, the Supreme Court in Israel has experienced an incremental revolution, causing an imbalance. This democratic reform aims to restore equilibrium and, to put it plainly, bring democracy back to Israel.
