Evidence is the times they say "damaging our democracy" which really just means "damaging our vote" which can mean all sorts of different things depending on who says it. As LFR stated near the end: Even if they have the wording right, they wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over the USA getting demolished, they are only using it as a cudgel because it's the one time conservatives got mad and staged a "real" protest. Jan 6 is my bday, so I woke up to it and hopped on Telegram to be absolutely flooded with real-time updates by the second all day and for the next couple of days, at minimum. I remember not being able to keep up with it and not sleeping due to the never-ending updates. We saw the video cam footage in real-time as well as it was happening. I woke up to the nonsense around the year Bush Jr. got elected and Obama was the one that pissed me off all over again after his first year and especially in his final year and month. But I remember watching how the media spins everything when Ron Paul ran for president and how they treated him. So by the time Trump announced his first candidacy, I was already primed with that eye for the timing of events in particular.
