I'm as liberal as they get, but she is right about fixed armrests. Back in the 1980s, seats were not very adjustable and made out of plastic to lower the costs. Even in movie theaters now, they are finally putting in optional seating and lowering chairs. The comfort of the person was just adequate enough so they wouldn't complain. Also safety was a concern. Now that is changing.
