I made the Pietra shorts today and sewed along with you. I'm not inexperienced but doing the sew along was SUCH a pleasant way to sew! I pressed more, and they turned out perfectly. You did a really, really good job on this tutorial. Not just the sewing - technically, it's spot on. But the whole thing - music, the way you are - just the best afternoon I've had in a long time! I feel like I've made a new friend. I hope you make more!! It really is Sewing Therapy!!

Thank you very much. I became confused at, 'finish the waistband' on page 20. Couldn't figure out which way to fold the back waistband down. Their colours for wrong side and right side of fabric are the opposite of what I'm used to so that was throwing me a little. Watched your KZbin and all was clear, nearly did it wrong so thank you.

This pattern was very confusing at the beginning where the front pockets are. I thought sew along was very good except for the pockets. I had to guess but did get it right. The pattern Instructions for pockets are awful. I also believe they have the shorts pocket pattern upside down where you iron on interfacing? Anybody else think that??

I'm at the step at 5:46. Has anyone else who made this had an issue where the front facing came out bigger than the front of the shorts? I couldn't line up the seams without easing it in quite a bit, and even then I had 3/8" or so extra on each end. I checked my seam allowances and that all the pieces are cut for the same size of the pattern.

Dear Sara Kim, I am subscribed to your channel because thanks to you I made some wonderful pants Pietra.sono Italian, and my problem was to understand the right size, so after much work I had to throw them. I understand how to graduate sizes, but if both are in the table 0-20 and 14-32 (specifically my measurements are waist 96 and hip 114; model chosen view A culotte) which table should I follow? (also because they talk about bust in the choice, but these are pants). I don't have anyone to help me or answer me on their site or on their facebook page, and now I don't know what to do with the pattern I bought.... could you help me? I apologize in advance for the trouble I'm giving you, and thank you so much for the video explained really well!
@SewingTherapy3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, 👋 In this case, I recommend you to follow the hip size and shorten the waist as it's an elastic waist so the size of waist can be flexible! Also making a toile and grading the waist and the area between waist and hip can make a difference on the silhouette! Let me know if you have any other questions! 😊
@stepa12893 жыл бұрын
@@SewingTherapy Thank you so much for the response, you were such a nice person!!! What 'but' I remain as a doubt is this: in the table of measures 0-20 my measures in gradation are included between sizes 16-18 and 20. in the table of measures 14-32 are included between 14 and 18. how can i understand on which table i have to base myself? on the site they talk about bust, but with the pants i don't know what to do... i have a very last question: i am subscribed to your channel and i got the discount for the kielo wrap dress that i would like to buy. being a beginner, is it understandable to do for me? i need a simple language, like the pants stone. I'll stand by, and if so I'll run out and purchase it right away. Thank you again so much!! you were a very special person to answer me. Stefania
@SewingTherapy3 жыл бұрын
@@stepa1289 Accordinf to the size chart on the Pietra Pattern, your hip size sits between 16 and 18. I would go with 18 and give more seam allowance. twooninefabric.ca/products/pietra-pants-and-shorts-closet-core-sewing-pattern-paper Kielo is not a tricky pattern (, if you're thinking a woven dress). PLUS you have my sewalong video to watch! I highly recommend it! 😊
