Fox owned Quicksilver and made a one movie deal. They handed over Wanda's rights. Quicksilver was introduced in X-Men: Days of Future Past just a year before Ultron. They wanted to avoid competition. Personally I love the X-Men interpretation. The MCU Silver was good just nothing special imo. There is a chance for him to return in the MCU now that Disney owns Fox. He might even show up as early as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Wanda is confirmed to Co-star with Strange. Although Kevin Feige confirmed he had planned the next 5 years before he owned the X-Men characters. There is always a chance though since it's some time away.

@@KURDTC0BAlN Not really. Even the Quicksilver from X-Men was significantly faster and he was far from OP. Even if you think about him confronting Thanos you can see the fight being interesting but not in his favor or at least not after Thanos would catch on to his abilities. Plus how many superheros get killed by bullets in the MCU... not much because it was within there capabilities. Frankly the rendition of Quicksilver we got was fairly untrained. I do think he would have fit in nicely within the MCU and most probably will return now that Fox merger has finished. But probably not for the next 6 years or so.(if he doesn't cameo in Doctor Strange 2)
