this is amazing, how does this only have 20K views from 10 years ago?! and the creator is still liking comments and uploading to this day. Love to see it!

I love the sound of wire getting heated through a piezo. That has to be one of the best sounds ever. I'm getting into ambient music, and that's the type of stuff I like. I'm not really big on the melodic ambient stuff. I like weird textures, and odd poly-rhythms. A little bit of melody is cool, but some ambient music just sounds like regular music with a lot of reverb, and that's not really what attracted me to ambient music. To each their own. I want to hear ear candy like wire getting heated up.

Very nice! You might enjoy John Cage/David Tudor's "Variations II" (1961, from "New Electronic Music From Leaders Of The Avant-Garde") and "Cartridge Music" (1960, from "John Cage • Christian Wolff"), plus tabletop guitarist Keith Rowe (from AMM) -- 'Prepared Guitar' -- and maybe Alan Lamb's telegraph wire recordings...

The amplification reminds me of the dentist. Their little tools sound like construction equipment in my head.

Naw, the dog also had some artistic input :-) I could imagine getting cool soundscapes when running it through a pitched granulae effect^^

Hi there. It'll be nice if you can tell me step by step and all the materials you've used. I am going to try and make this for my assignment called sounds sculpture related to my chosen color. Thanks

if you think THAT is cool, just wait till you put one of these into water, freeze it and then record the sound of the melting iceblock :)
