You don't have to try very hard to expose the absolute folly of a technocracy. These farmers get the money from the EU in subsidy who get it from the farmers in tax. They get less back of course because the bureaucracy is expensive to run. If they were just left alone everyone would be better off but they will never see that.

That's not so. Ireland has been a net beneficiary of the EU budget until recently. There's no way these farmers coming out behind after taxes.
