Nic acts for the love of acting. He loves the off beat roles and no matter how silly or weird some of them seem to be, he brings them to life and gives them something real. This actually looks like an emotional journey with many layers. Not just a man looking for his pig, but a man looking for the one thing he loves.

This film doesn’t have much physical violence at all but the emotional way it hits you is so painful. It’s rare in movies these days and it comes from so many different angles of grief than just the “loving and missing your animal” one. Such an incredible performance from not only Nic but the entire cast. A rare film that was snubbed from awards

People seem quick to dismiss this as silly because Nic Cage and a pig. But why is a pig sillier than, say, a dog? Truffles are a big, often dangerous business. Truffle pigs and dogs are stolen often. Truffle hunters wear camo to avoid detection from rivals. In 2010 a farmer killed a truffle thief, causing a ban of carrying a weapon while truffle hunting in France, citing "the temptation is too shoot is high".

I don't see what's pointless about a custom death metal axe used to slay LSD bikers from beyond, or the epic chainsaw fight scene in a lumber yard. Fantastic movie. You're expecting a ripoff from John whick from the trailer but you're in for an amazing surprise. One of the best movies nic's starred in and the overwhelmingly positive comments are not overrated in any way. Great, great score. Was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. If only for the somber ending and the lack of a certain meaty friend at the end. If you're not sure, go and watch it right away.

Music is by Alexis Grapsas, Philip Klein (grabbed from credits flashed at end of trailer). They appear to write original scores for films and tv, so we likely won't be able to get our hands on that music until the film is released.
