I have so many pigment powders and haven't used them for a very long time. I am getting to use so much more of my "stuff" since I found you, thank you so much for sharing your ideas. I have just finished playing with some and my new smoocher. My fingers are all stained but luckily I am having a pajama day today as it is raining so a good excuse, so am not expecting to have to go anywhere soon. 😃😍

A lovely card that came together very quickly and can be done regardless of your skill level! I think the smudge was a bit of serendipity because the added splatters and "dots" enhanced the card. I'm off to find an empty paint pallet! Thank you for another wonderful video!🩷

Yes, my pigment powders don't contain a binder, so gum Arabic is required. Your smooshing always looks so nice. Metallics gives added interest.

A great video, thank you! I can't wait to have a go at making my own paints with my mica powders, though I will be adding gum arabic so I won't need to use hair spray to bind it. If you don't have pigment powders, pull out your eye shadow, that pressed powder is pigment powder. You can also get the eye shadow in loose powder.

You’d need to add a fixative or binder to get it to stay put, but it’s a good option if you have eyeshadow and you want to see if you like the idea of pigment powders.

I like the use of the packing tape. I also use carpet tape, on the other side for sticking down, as I get glue everywhere. Lol.

I've never seen that done before, and what a wonderful way to stretch supplies by using inks with mica powder.

I've got the pixie powders but found that they rubbed off. I ended up mixing them with glue dilited in water and they stayed put. I'll be trying out your paint hack and it may encourage me to use them more. Thanks so much for the fab tips Natalie 😀 🦋

I love the idea of using powders for painting etc. I'm certainly going to try it. I just wonder why banners are popular on cards. I personally never use them because I think they look ugly on a card. Can anyone who likes them tell me why they like to use them? Not to shame anyone but I try to understand.

Love the oops, happens to me all the time. I don't have any pigment powders, I do have quite a few pots of mica powders given to me by a friend. If I add gum arabic to them, can I make paints from them? My shimmery watercolors like yours are almost gone, I'd love a DIY replacement.

Where did you get your ruler that you level things with? Amazon, crafts store, hardward/building store, etc.? I'm not the best at keeping things level. I just haven't seen one for sale, but I am disabled and only go out for groceries, doctor appointments, and McDonalds. Ended up at Walmart the other day and went through the craft department and didnt see anything like' it. I'm sure others would like to know as well unless you have mentioned it already.

It’s Mixed Media paper, but you can smoosh successfully on regular cardstock.
