I'm not playing vs AI - I'm recovering the replays vs a masters random player in the opponents slot. I encourage them to look around the replay and be familiar with the position whilst I'm going in blind other than the players explanation. I had SO much fun with this new show, I'll definitely be turning this into a regular show!

PiG this is a brilliant idea for a series. It's like one of those things that very few people can do, because it combines your GM level skill with your extensive coaching and commentary experience to create something valuable. Your B2GM series is great but your skill means that you don't get caught up in these weird disastrous positions that us normies get caught in every single time way play, and part of SC2 is knowing how to recover (or at least move forward) from a bad state. This whole thing was like a lesson on improvisation, as well as a demonstration of how that extra skill can be applied to turn a losing position into a winning one. It reminds me of some of those puzzle games that throw you into the middle of a weird scenario with a handful of very specific pieces and asks you to find the winning solution. Man, you and Harstem are treasures to this community. Skill in playing and commentating is great, but the way you two constantly bring your creative energies to your content and innovate what can be done around this video game make this 14 year old game still feel pretty fresh to watch as a viewer.

This idea is great and I support 100%! Exactly what going on in my mind in losing games or when watching othera losing games: "What if a pro or a very high skilled player play this situation, how would they do?". I used to watch Harstem' IIODIS and always wonder: "Harstem, you doing great job as a "backseat" coach, what if you are thrown into the situation, will you be able to backup what you say?"

For the first game - maybe an answer to 'why didn't they have more than one gas geyser?' is that there is a common piece of advice floating around to only stay on one gas until you saturate three mineral lines. I followed it for a while but have started taking gasses earlier vs. Protoss for the very reason that I'd die vs all-ins like this.
@PiGstarcraft3 ай бұрын
yeah good choice against Terran, very dangerous against Protoss, especially if they're playing robo or twilight. You can usually get away with it vs stargate openings

This is going to be an amazing series! There are already so many guides/videos on the (important) fundamentals, builds, macros, etc. But this is the other half of what we need to help us improve on those clutch holds. I see games where a pro holds out against those All-Ins and im like "Wow, I'd get crushed instantly by that." Disaster Series will be educational, entertaining, and epic. This is an awesome idea - Other creators have done stuff like this for other games and I like how you've approached it here! I think if you are looking to give people "advice" or a review after, it would be good to add a very brief bullet-point section at the end! You make some very keen observations about what to do while playing through it, I think a summary at the end would be good. "Here's what we needed to do throughout the game prior to this in order to lessen the impact of any disasters, and here's the specific things we needed to do during and after this disaster to recover from it." I think you do some of this anyways, but a really concise list at the end could be cool :) Looking forward to the next one!

Awesome idea! Your guides are great, but you almost never end up in one of those weird scenarios that we plebs keep getting ourselves into. It sucks to be dropped right in the middle of it, but you're the PiG, just wallow in it and wriggle your way out like a good sport.

This is a super cool idea. My only question would be, is it possible for you to set up stuff like hot keys or camera locations before it fully starts? Like you’re taking over from a disadvantaged position, which is the point, but the player would have their hot keys and camera locations set up from the beginning of the game so if it’s possible for you to do that I think that would be better. Don’t know if that’s possible or how it would work, just a thought though. Awesome series and idea either way

It's fun roasting a former pro while being a Gold 3 player myself. I mean it's not like I would've noticed the purpose of those ultras if it hadn't been for your commentary.
