Guys, I just started to do arena on my sub rogue and I absolutely suck. I have full honor gear. Of course I have to practice to get better but there any general rules I should follow to do better?

Get the squishy targets trinket and shadowy duell one shot them. Put kidneys on the healer and cheapshot both others into a gauge. Know when to stay in and when u dont have pressure = shadowstep/vanish out. Think this is the best advices i can give

If you’re new to WoW or PvP in general, just spam BG’s until you’re super comfortable with your class and your rotation becomes second nature. There is so much going on in an arena match that you run the risk of never learning anything. If someone wanted to learn how to box, it wouldn’t make much sense to put them up against Mike Tyson on their first day. They’ll just get blown to pieces in the first 5 seconds and it’s over with. World PvP is another great way to learn, and it’s super fun in this xpac. Go start fights with random people out in the world, and pay attention to the abilities that they use and what you can do to counter it. Once you’re able to hold your own weight in 1v1 fights you’ll be much better prepared for the utter chaos that is arena. I always procrastinated doing rated PvP, but once I understood the premise of solo shuffle I decided to somewhat commit to it since I thought the premise was incredible. I told myself that I would be ecstatic to reach 1600 rating and made it my goal. You can imagine my surprise once I hit 2026 last week. Take pointers from streamers of your spec, get addons that monitor your opponents CD’s and DR’s, and PvP as much as you can. As long as you don’t adopt the toxic mentality of “it’s everyone’s fault but mine,” you’ll get better and better in no time.

So is this just testamant to how overpowered Warlocks are, or is this just how good you can do with a really good grasp of the fundamentals? Because I'm at 1100 roughly and I win on average 2 rounds per solo shuffle. That's just an average though, taking into consideration the long string of only winning 1 round.

This is an example of what game knowledge can do. He knows who to target, what to kick, what to pop defensive for… The game is 80% game knowledge, 20% mechanical skill.

Don't compare yourself to an AWC champ who plays 10 to 12 hrs a day, everyday for 15 yrs. I'll say, I watch pika, but honestly I feel twitch streaming of wow has ruined the entirety of the game. It's the same as watching someone on Facebook look like they're living their best life. Just play the game, stick to one char and know everything of your class. The more comfortable you are the better you'll be, he's been playing lock for a long time lol. Seasons almost over, so nows the time to just keep q'ing and don't worry about it, focus on getting your class on lockdown.
