Got myself the blue one. The tail plastic has a small cut-out so that you can push it a bit further in and it stays in place in an up-right position. It's pretty solid. The blue and black ones do allow Pikachu to hold the Powerpole but there isn't a sheath like the red one has.

@4:33 look at pikachu's right (or left from the video) hand. there's a cut in it for the power pole. Go look yourself, probably made to hold the pole the opposite way to what is shown. With the cord on his back and the pole in his hand.
