Guys, I'm fully aware One Punch Man deserves Single Strike Urshifu. Like I said, he gets any Pokemon that punches. I simply thought it would be boring for three protagonists to have Urshifu. And yes, a protagonist will receive a Pokemon that relates to another character, if that character is literally the driving force of the protagonist/ the plot. It's the reason Ed has Golurk and Goku has Rayquaza.

Even though he's not the protagonist, it's kinda obvious that the Digimon Emperor is a jab at pokemon. So I decided to take a crack at Ken's team. Type Null/Silvally: Reference to Chimeramon, plus it evolves through friendship which translates to kindness, aka his crest. Mimikyu: It's pretty obvious he's desperate for friends and forgiveness after his arc. Plus it ties into the idea of him pretending to be someone he's not. Wishiwashi: Sort of a reference to Wormmon as they're both super weak but turn out to be super powerful, but also in reference to his alter ego being super feared and it turns out he's just soft but doesn't know how to cope. Plus the one scene where he has to seal Dagomon away is the closest he ever gets to school form Wishiwashi Caterpie: The closest resemblence to Wormmon, and in the anime it was desperately trying to make friends with Misty, just like how Wormmon wanted Ken to return to his old self Gardevoir: Kind of feminine just like him, plus is a psychic type which could be a reference to him being considered a genius but a fairy type which is a reference to his crest. Dusknoir: Always seemed to be followed by death no matter what he does, but tries to move past it. Plus I always like to see it as a way for him to have a part of his brother with him. Bonus Jirachi: Accidentally wished for his brother to disappear and guess what happens? He fucking dies. Gengar: Similar colors. Plus it could get him to take a break once in a while

Lopunny, Azumarill, and Diggersby also make sense for Deku, just like Cinderace. They all fit the rabbit mask Deku has, Lopunny and Cinderace can use kick-based attacks (more the case when Lopunny is in it's Mega Evolve form) to represent Shoot style, and Diggersby and Azumarill have the ability Huge Power, and ability that double a Pokemon's attack stat, something Deku can also do, also Azumarill saves drowning Pokemon by creating balloons out of air.
