I got down to one LP in one of the DS games one time. What I did was play Backs to the Wall to get my LP down to 100 and kept attacking with Jirai Gumo to keep halving it until I got it down to one.

Sorry for backseating but here's my opinion on what should be done to make the burn deck better: - In modern deck building a good rule is generally that if a card is good enough to run, you usually want to run 3 of it. (With exceptions such as garnets , searchable cards and etc.) - Focus on one card strategies, this era of yugioh doesn't have enough draw power or search to justify combos such as Skull invitation, Needleworm and Dark Room of nightmare, drawing just one of the three usually means no significant burn, so it's not worth it unless the whole deck is made around it. - Remove poison mummy , 500 damage on a 1800 defense body is not good as a burn or as a stall - Penguin soldier is really good, for the price of one card it can stop up to 3 attacks or generally reset the field , which means is really good even when you're top decking. - Even though it goes against Teddy Toll ,stall techniques are really good ( Swords of Revealing Light, Steel Nightmare Cage), it basically means more turns to draw and more monsters on the field , which helps Cannon , Just Deserts, Secret Barrel and Burning Land. - Add high defense monsters , Gear Golem for example , will in most cases only be taken down by tribute monsters.

Modern deck building and old school deck building work differently (old school runs a lot more different cards while modern runs a lot of 3s)

​@bulbaa2241 Old school: favors powerful limited to 1 cards, but lacks consistency. Modern: favors consistency, with the odd powerful limited 1 card here and there. Real talk though, even old school competitive decks around this time favored playsets, drawing/searching/deck thinning.

@@soukenmarufwt5224 Agreed , modern playing of old formats rely on getting to your win condition and hoping your opponent can't out it. Toolboxing, which would imply a bunch of 1 or 2 offs for specific situations could only be achieved in modern formats where searching is predominant and drawing your soft garnets isn't so much of a pain. In the specific format of this game, where spell destruction is so sparse, power cards go wild and the monsters have no protection you'd better build your deck thinking about a good initial setup then strong staple cards for the inevitable top deck war after you and your opponent Raigeki each other. Stall is unavoidable too because the draw phase is the only way to get cards, so much so , even in heros which is probably the most powerful deck in this era (when it comes to searching and special summoning) I would still run 3 Clayman because it's a decent wall until you draw your Miracle Fusion.

Maybe you weren't paying attention because I swear I've seen Jaden do that more than once in past videos. It's always Captain Gold even without Skyscraper when he's not defending, otherwise he summons Clayman. And speaking of Clayman, you do have a second copy of Thunder Giant. You pulled it after the one from the sandwich while trying for more copies of Miracle Fusion iirc. Bright is one of my favorite partners in the Tag Force games and I'm so looking forward to it. Also she's usually the easiest opponent to farm DP since her deck dies to a single Wombat. What's not to love?
