The actions of the pike here are amazing, it brain seems to be in overdrive as it tries to decide on one ore the other, i was particularly amazed at how the pike swam beneath and past the lure before distancing from it... Great footage

I have often seen pike follow a lure all the way to the bank and not take, its really frustrating. It does go to show that Pike are not stupid, they instinctively know when something is not right, sense danger and investigate before attacking. I think they are sometimes not hungry but simply curious.

Again a very interesting video,....that second pike really did some investigation on the lures , during the final pass it even seemed to compare the two lures by looking left and right for a few times . Because the other prey fish in the video look healthy and look like they are hard to catch. The lures look like some injured easy to catch fish.

Noise is a big factor when it comes to Pike here in Minnesota USA I've learned pike are vary aggressive when something comes by them big or little they'll try to bite it another thing to consider is time of year breeding season the males will attack anything that moves

the pike also seem to zone in on the lure that is always on the one side. maybe they prefer to attack from a certain side over the other, kinda like being left or right handed.
