I was actually at Baker's while you were there, and fished with Mac the very next day!!! Hammered my first Master Pike with him and had an absolute BLAST. I VERY VERY VERY HIGHLY recommend Mac Mulligan as your guide at Baker's Narrows Lodge. The young man impressed me with his knowledge of fishing, knowledge of the lake and his easy going attitude. He adjusts to your personality and always keeps you on task!!! I without a doubt will return to this lodge. I was really excited to see this footage once I realized it was you 3 cabins over Clayton. Still kicking myself for not coming to say hi.

Another benefit to a guide is that it's sometimes just plain enjoyable to be taken fishing and let someone else run the boat, electronics, and troller instead of doing it yourself. I am a diy fisherman type, but whenever I have had a guide that was my most enjoyable part. Not much thinking just fun and fishing.

Hi Clayton. Love your channel. Fishing with my daughter on Sept 9th at Lake of the Prairies, getting my butt kicked by the kid and the highlight of the day was spotting you cruising by as we were right under the hydro lines. Serious fan boy moment. My daughter wondered who the heck I was waving at. Hope you had a better day out there then I did!!

Great vid. I realize this may be a tough question (that most don't like to ask), but what is the "average" guide cost for a day, and what is a fair tip to add on (always struggle with wanting to give somethings appropriate), but honestly no idea what the norm would be. Be great if you could shed some light on that part of it.
@ClaytonSchickOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Such a tough question!! Usually around that 10-15% of your trip price, less if you were disappointed with your guide, like he was on his phone etc, or more if you felt like he really took care of you :)

Would you be able to crazy glue those 4D baits when they get cuts in them, or would it take away from the action because the glue dries hard?
@ClaytonSchickOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
There is actually plastic glue you can get for them that works great.
@Intimidator823 жыл бұрын
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors I just ordered one to try out for some big toothy critters after I seen you slay them on your other video
@my71chevro1et3 жыл бұрын
There is a product called Mend-It that is not a glue, but it actually reacts with the compounds in the soft plastic and essentially melts it back together. It's a bit tricky to use the first couple times, but once you figure out how to do it, it really can save you some money on soft plastic baits.
