Pike Fishing Lake St Clair Michigan | How I Caught More Pike With These Baits

I decided to step out of my comfort zone and target some toothy critters - mainly northern pike here on Lake St Clair and Anchor Bay in Michigan. I found that using lures designed for them just wasn’t getting the job done. I decided to do something unconventional.
I began throwing baits I KNEW would get bit off by them, since I’ve lost so many in the past. I went thru about a hundred rock bass and plenty of largemouth in order to get the pike I was after, but it eventually paid off!

Musky are a blast. I love them so much only thing better than a big smallmouth is a big musky. Laughed at the intro cause I know how those 16 inch hammer handle pike are. @@live2fishofficial I’ve been fishing LSC since 1984 the bass fishing is second to none in the Midwest I’ve met guys from surrounding states that love fishing up here and the pike fishing is nowhere near what it use to be we use to ice fish back in the late 80’s early 90’s in the private marinas in grosse pointe and would catch 6,7 per shanty (9 shanty’s) but the perch fishing has been incredible the last few years…
