Something missing here. If you wish to discard the line, how do you get it off that working spool? There needs to a working spool where the hob is made of dowels and one side plate can be removed so you can easily cut all that line into short lengths. Also, if you want to reverse the line on the reel, so the newer stuff ends up in top, you really need a 2 spool arrangement

I keep the spool from the old line and use that to discard it. I also tend to hoard it to use as leaders

@@shookbrii the camera does not, but where I was at in Lake St Clair was 8-14 FOW for all the footage

In some ways its quite similar to the cheap cameras i had back in 2019 (i stopped using them when i discovered that some of them were lying about the frame rate, when i used one of those cheap cameras to record some excavator footage back in Febuary 2019, I discovered that the 60fps settings were not actually 60fps, the camera was using a dirty trick) The remote for this one looks identical to the remotes that came with my 3 cheap cameras In a way i am tempted to get one for if i end up needing to do any risky shots (where i wouldn't want to put a more expensive camera incase it got damaged), but i think i might be better off looking for a cheaper camera for such a use case recently I was planning on using my only surviving cheap camera for such a risky shot (where the excavator would pick up the camera), but its protective case broke, so i had to abandon the idea

I discovered my Mini seems to malfunction when it starts to get too hot, a few months ago i was using the mini to film an excavator (alongside 2 full size GoPros), and after about 20-30 minuites, the mini began recording garbage until the battery ran flat

@@live2fishofficial Just made an interesting discovery, there seems to be something screwy with the firmware, as on the standard firmware it will just record garbage when it overheats, but on the labs firmware it shuts down when it overheats I previously had it on the labs firmware but i had reverted it back to the standard firmware prior to recording the excavator footage (and i only ended up using the Mini for the excavator footage as i found myself needing an additional camera)

How is the battery life on that? How many hrs before you have to change out to the new battery? Also the best sd cards for the

@@rebeccacraig6604 that’s a great question. I alternated between looping a bit and manual recordings of underwater releases on a fishing trip where we were out about four hours. The battery during that intermittent use was at 28% life left and I never had to charge the battery. I have a comparison video I’m working on and I’ll try to add some battery life testing in there as well. As for the best memory card, I added a link in the video description to the Micro SD card I’d recommend. Thanks for checking out the video!
