@eeeee954 no backer, 30lb braid to start, upgraded to 50lb. Seaguar TactX is my preferred line. This was tied to a 100lb fluoro leader with a snap swivel to make it easy to swap out those heavy baits.

That totally hooked lakehouse is too expensive for fisherman just looking for a place to crash. Might be a good option when vacationing with the family in the area though.

You're right,. Prices have gone crazy but doesn't mean we have to pay them. I stay at a house closer to chesterfield and pay much much less. Being on the water after a day of fishing isnt worth +$120 per day but would be if bringing the family.

@@HOMES1CKALIEN I have tried it, but I can tell you that Seaguar BasiX is the absolute best fluoro line for the money I’ve used yet. I used to use their InvisiX line, which is twice as much and it’s not nearly as good. I do love YoZuri baits tho. Their jerkbaits especially. The YoZuri line was coarse and stiff, causing me backlashes. (I had to go back and look at my setups and I have, in fact, used it and will not do so again)

Do you know how to transfer the footage off the APP/Camera(CanFish Cam X) to a Desktop Computer? I am using ADOBE Premiere Pro for all of my editing projects. Thanks.

May June July and August are probably the best months to fish in Florida. Major tarpon fishing during those months. Next time get live shrimp and hit those docks at night. lots of snook.

@@IngaSkola-sl5wm it’s not a reel you’d use for targeting fish like bass, it’s definitely for larger catches. Heavier braid in the 40-60lb test range works well. I went with a Bass Pro Muskie rod, which you can find for less than $100.

Nice review! I bought an old style Jordan Lee combo rod only for $40 at the Ohio Expo. Paired with an Abu Garica 5:4 reel. I've caught several bass in 2024 on it mostly using Big joshy 3.25 swimbaits/ Jigmasters Sled heads hooks. Also bought late in the season a Jordan Lee Signature rod when it was 40% off. Mostly for a top water setup. Its light, but not a big fan on the trigger shape. Veritas 2.0 is my favorite rod. Never got a PLX. The 3.0 version coming soon

@ generally between 120 and 150 in the winter time on the West Coast for salmon and down to maybe 50 feet during the late spring and summer after the returning spawning salmon. Freshwater sits on top of salt so the returning salmon are picking up the smell of the scentof their home river so we don’t go down quite so deep. It’s also a case of visibility and the deeper you get the darker it gets. Thanks for the info

@ I think the lighting on the camera would clear up the dark issue, but sediment may impede the view. I haven’t had much of an issue with it here on Lake St. Clair. It would be really cool to see what’s going on down in those depths!

@ my recollection as far as colours are concerned is that red is the first colour that you lose the ability to discern as you go deeper and blue is the last one That’s why cop cars have red and blue lights red for daytime blue for nighttime the idea would be to clip thisonto a downrigger line with maybe a stabilizing writer aimed at the flash for the bait behind. It would probably be more effective during the summer like I say when we’re fishing shallow.

Nice thorough opening and review! I like the idea of tackle subscriptions, but I'm too particular now about the brands I use. I wish there were more brand-specific mystery box subscriptions out there. The 6th Sense "6 Sack" was my favorite when I had it. I wish Rapala would do a mystery box subscription!
