I've been an engineer for the cog railway for three years now. This is quite the nostalgic video. Some of these fine men are still with us, and some are even in charge of the railway now. Thanks for sharing!

My family and I went on one of these trains to pike peak when I was 7. We also had this documentary growing up.

i remember going on this as a kid and getting a headache on the way up and than getting a headache watching this video on DVD, which my parents still have, and still to this day getting a headache when i hear that intro music even though i still love watching it!!

My grandparents once visited the place back in the mid 2000's and came back with pictures as well as an old vhs tape that included the video you uploaded as the video included Georgetown loop railroad as a bonus video. Thank you for the upload good sir!

I have this VHS! I got it in the cog railway gift shop when I was a kiddo! Its winderful to be able to see the last few minutes, my tape cut off before the end for some reason. Thanks for posting this!!!!

14:40 I've seen a different version where the meet at Windy Point used alternate cuts that as a result hid the work train and made this meet only look like the two articulated trains passing.

Manitou and Pike's Peak Cog Railway should use electric trains using over head wires !

I cannot find anything on the music from this. The credits list the musician as Brian Bennett but don’t name the actual songs and I can’t find them. Does anyone know the names of any of the music from this film? In particular I’m after the main theme, the music during the part with the snow, and the music from the mechanic shop section.

I guess cog locomotives can only push passenger cars forward, not pull them forward.
