I have trekked to Pikey peak for two times and rode on my mtb once. I am planning to go for the third time again and I will keep trekking to Pikey Peak until it gets crowded. I love this trek coz only a few trekkers choose it. Its pristine and exotic trekking destination.

I just did the Pika Peak trek, Oct 2022, obviously I came in from a different direction as I didn't recognise your route at all. However, we summitted at 06.30 just after sunrise (I would have liked to have got there BEFORE sunrise, but no matter), and was rewarded with a magnificent 360 view, hardly a cloud in the sky. Another party went up there 10 days later and saw noting, heavy mist, icy & cold. I was so lucky.

In the good old times we could have just found an animal shelter or herder's hut and slept there if there were no lodges available. But you were not prepared for that eventuality? Lhamuje is only 2 km further up from Bhulbhule where you turned back, send the guide or porter to check if somebody is there instead of just giving up?

Hi! The first trek I did in my life was to Annapurna Base Camp in December 2021 (have you seen that video??). At that time I didn't bother with any training at all. It was on pure mental stamina. I was determined to challenge myself and do it. I actually found it quite difficult especially with the altitude sickness but nonetheless I did it. Subsequently, prior to the Pikey Peak Trek, I did train. I did a lot of cardio workout 6 days a week plus running between 5-7 km. But to be honest, walking up a mountain is difficult whatever your fitness! I have stopped reading all the difficulty ratings too. Ultimately, I am of the view that you may be the strongest and fittest person in this world, but if you are not determined , if you don't have mental stamina, patience and perseverance, you will never accomplish your goals in life- whether this is climbing mountains or anything else. For me it has been the most rewarding experience. I hope it will be the same for you too. 😊❤️

Sorry to say Pikey is not a peak it is high on View Point Hill, where peaks are over 5,800 m high with some snow and ice all the year round, how can you walk uphill on a peak without proper climbing gear, where Pikey is just a high viewpoint hill.
