I wanted to see every Pikmin intro because I was bored so I decided why not try and find them all and make a video about it since no one else has yet.

@@alienbonez I don’t disagree with that, I’m glad that they’re better incorporated in 4 than what they were in 3. But like, what was the alternative? Only have 4 types during the day of Red/Yellow/Blue/Ice (and Glow)? That’s not a great look for the first game in a decade; and it’s a no brainer that they were at least going to exist in the new game in SOME capacity since they’re so fundamental/popular. They’re not going to scrap a core pikmin type in its entirety, and purple/white can only go up. When Pikmin 5 comes out, I can all but guarantee that it’ll have at least Red/Yellow/Blue/Purple/White/Rock/Winged/Ice. The only pikmin I can even FATHOM gets cut in the future would be Glow, because Night Mode will probably undergo a rework at some point in the distant future which means that Glow is in a strange position since it’s isolated. But even Glow will probably return in a sequel as well 🙏

What i like from the theme’s varients is how it has an instrament that feels remenicent to that pikmin’s attribute, like blues soundingwarbled and muffled, like it’s underwater, winged having a high, fluttery theme and white’s having a wavy, “trippy” effect it it’s. I also like how some hint to their attributes in the intro before you’re told, like yellow jumping high into the air and sparking, purple doing it’s “sumo stance” it had done in it second game, white runjing about frantically and spewing a poison mist, and rock rolling about like, well, a rock.

I love that each of them have the same sound, just with little variation that define them Red pikmin: Always the first one, uses the regular sound Yellow pikmin: Sounds more "electrical" if you know what I mean Blue pikmin: Sounds like you are underwater Ice pikmin: Sounds "distant", like if you are in a snowstorm, reminds me of TotK's Frozen Rito village theme Rock pikmin: Sounds more rough and it's played in a mayor key Winged pikmin: Sound "lightweight" and smoother and in a minor key, contrasting the Rock pikmin Purple pikmin: Sounds even more heavy than rock's pikmin theme because of the drum sound White pikmin: As the winged contrasts the rock pikmin, the White pikmin, contrasts the Purple pikmin with a more lightweight sound but not as smooth as the winged, Idk how to describe it Glow pikmin: The theme is more "weird" like the music in Luigi's Mansion, cause they are like ghosts, the sound is irregular and quieter Any additions to this are welcome

Very nice list! For yellow pikmin it’s got that small buzz in the sound which is what I believe makes it sound electric. One thing I don’t like about the list is the TOTK spoiler though, now I know rito village gets frozen… the pink pikmin have a wind instrument playing which makes sense since they fly. White pikmin lack this instrument and since they are poisonous it sounds, intimidating? Like “do not eat”!

It’s weird when blue is not met in water. It’s funny the one time they make a animation for the fact that blue is almost always met in the water is the one time it’s possible to meet blue outside the water, if you know what to do, like I did in the demo. It’s ironic.

One mistake in glad this game remedied from pikmin 4: All returning types are in the story. For thsoe who didn't play the third game...i have bad news: Purple and whites were not in the story mode, only in the challenge mode
