I think the easy difficulty of Pikmin was the difficult part of this game for rts people/veteran Pikmin players. But knowing how heavily Pikmin 2 was modded, i didn’t fret that because I knew one day I would get to struggle through millions of dead Pikmin on kaizo hacks!

It's always so weird how most of this game is far from hard and then sublevel 17 of Cavern for a King is just an instant loss if you make the mistake of standing slightly too close to the boss

10:30 No, not made of rocks. This is the logic that made me hate rock pikmin on release. The game makes note that they are not actually made of stone, they're just really tough. What's worse, the rocks have two aspects. They can't latch onto enemies, and they can't be crushed. Neither of these require them to be stone. Moreover, they don't sink immediately in water, implying that their hard carapace is literally only skin deep. Ice pikmin on the other hand are literally ice. They're the most frustrating thing to ever be made in this franchis. Being made of ice not work with the fact that they're supposed to be part plant and part animal, ice crystals destroy cells. They're literally a walking bitter spray you can't determine when you use. I thought people hated bitter spray, what's the deal? Besides that, freezing bodies of water is a stupid gimmick and takes me out of the experience so hard.
