Pikmin Arrangement - The Distant Spring

Here's an arrangement of The Distant Spring theme from the game Pikmin! At 1:46 the combat variation comes in, and then at 3:28 and 5:10 I composed variations for Pikmin carrying items and performing tasks, respectively. I hope you enjoy it!
In 2 weeks I will definitely upload a new Pikmin trivia video. Sorry for the delay on that.

The Distant Spring's music is so serene, while the map itself is anything but.

During the morning, when there is a light fog, the place is extremely serene. Otherwise, nah.

The morning fog on the Distant Spring is more noticable compared to other areas of the game due to the map's sheer size. I wish that fog would last slightly longer since it only lasts for a few seconds before the weather eventually clears up after the Sun Meter reaches the first hour of the day. The Forest Navel is the only place in the series where the morning fog is completely absent (obviously being a cave). To compensate for the lack of fog, the cave is darker and gets slightly brighter once the first hour of the day rolls by.

@@Nyxael5845 the forest navel actually does have fog, its harder to notice but if you use cheats to instantly set time back to the beginning of the day, you can notice that it gets much brighter and foggier similar to the other areas

@Ethan Mulder Hey! Pikmin was ok, it definitely wasn't as good since it's a two dimensional platformer, but the area where the Pikmin are safe to run around at all times was an interesting idea. Maybe Pikmin 4 will have something like that area, a spot on some maps where Pikmin can stay overnight safely to work on bigger tasks.

@Ethan Mulder Yeah, it doesn't, Pikmin just doesn't fit right as a two dimensional platformer. I'm not sure about Pikmin 4, I think it might have been confirmed.

@Ethan Mulder I've played all of them, but I only managed to beat Pikmin 3 & Hey! Pikmin. I just didn't have enough time when I was playing Pikmin 2 & I wasn't very good at Pikmin when I played the first game. All of the games are very good, the motion controls of the Wii versions are better than the GameCube controls though.

@Ethan Mulder pikmin 4 got confirmed more than 3 years ago but we still didn't get any news for it since it was announced in 2015 despite the fact that it was claimed to be 'almost done' and it was confirmed that it isn't hey pikmin to be fair it was announced only 2 years after the release of pikmin 3 so they could be taking their time making it as good as possible

I love this soundtrack. The Distant Spring was so huge at the time, that it was really hard to get a proper "beat" on the music unless an enemy was nearby. The normal variant is very open, just like the area itself. The soundtrack has a tempo of 116 beats per minute, plays in a 4/4 time signature and plays in the key of E Minor.

How about a volcanic hot spring inside a massive and ancient mineralized petrified tree? Snow gently fluttering down from the sky, and sticking to old raised ridges of what used to be bark, ice forming in in small alcoves when the water slowly recedes towards the end of the day, gently floating in the warm steaming water in the early morning after the water has risen back overnight, stone like walkways crisscrossing around the outer circumference of the old tree with only a few going towards the center, comprised of stone like petrified wood. Large chunks having fallen down into the tree making for suitable substrates for unique flora and fauna to grow and live upon.

I actually created this track a while ago and updated it recently. It started with samples from the notation software Notion and sequencing in the music software Studio One 2 Artist, both of which are owned by the company PreSonus. To prepare it for publishing here I used Logic Pro: that's the program I normally use nowadays!

I love pikmin 2, but they sort of dropped the ball when handling the perplexing pools music in pikmin 2. it didn't have much atmosphere compared to pikmin 1.
