Diary of a Pikmin - Esteban: Today I woke up, literally. As far as I know, I was plucked out of the ground where I was getting nurtured, plucked by some kind of life form that, by instinct, knew that was foreign to my birth land. The life form named me: Esteban, so I guess that's gonna be my name from now on, and thus, I started following him, feeling as if I was attached to this person from the first time I saw him. Apparently, his name is Olimar, and he has a habit of speaking a lot to himself, in a very odd but manly voice for someone that looks as tiny as me. Together, we were able to create more of my species, he called all of us: Pikmin, after something called pikpik carrots from another thing he called his home planet. He is weird, and he kind of throw us all everywhere, but we didn't minded, we all felt connected to him somehow, like we bonded by just being together, so we all decided to help him out in anyway we can, we called him our Captain. After some time we also found something that was very precious to him, it moved, and it was shiny; he says it was something that will move the smoking thing that was also buried on earth. It was pretty heavy for him, but not for us, specially when we work together in numbers! Soon we were able to bring that shiny, moving thing back to his smoking thing, and when we got close to it, the smoking thing stopped smoking badly and it was now a vertical thing that served as the home of our Captain, he called it a Ship. As the day ended, he returned to his ship, and by instinct, we also returned to our home, the thing that produced all of us, he named it: Onion. Once we were all in, the Onion and the Ship flew together to the outside of our land, our planet, but it wasn't enough for him to return safely back home to his planet: Hocot- Hocotet- Hocotate? Something like that, even he doesn't know how it is pronounced. He needs to find more things for his ship... I'm gonna help him, we're all gonna help our captain! Tomorrow we start exploring the lands, together. - Esteban, Day 1 of my life.

EYYYYYY STEVE Anyway, huh, I guess this is the type of game I don't expect Jon to have played. Personally, I've only played the GCN version of 1 and 2; I know the wii version's better but I can't see myself adapting to the controls, especially swarming (even though I handled 3 near just fine). I used to definitively think 2 was better for having more content (2 captains, more pikmin, more bosses, upgrades), but in retrospect, Pikmin 1 is more solid as a game even if it doesn't offer nearly as much.I still enjoy Pikmin 2, but it is NOT a Pimin 1/3 experience. (also as a kid I was too scared to finish either cause the snitchbugs used to creep the shit out of me, especially with how they often come out of the ceiling in Pikmin 2. at least by 3 I was pretty fine beyond the final boss) Huh, I always said "hock (as in "hockey")-o-tate." didn't know smash had an official pronounciation

To be honest, I wouldn't mind him playing it. He can make good content out of any game. Even bad games get a second chance when Emile plays them, even if in the long run it doesn't last. Look at Skyward Sword, for example. I never would have touched that game if it wasn't for Emile's LP. Now it's my favorite Zelda game, with BoTW as a close second.
