Head to the bush on the hunt for some pikopiko fern otherwise known as Hen and Chicken fern or fiddlehead fern. Found some mussels on the beach and we cook them up together to make a 'Toroi' a popular Māori dish here in New Zealand. Watercress and Puha are also used.

I’m of Native American descent & have lived in NZ for over 15 years. So glad I found your channel. If you ever need a survival guide for Arizona, I’m your gal. I have been learning what I can on my own about wild edibles here. I love puha (we call it wild lettuce). I just want to be familiar with what the creator provides for us. I have also been introduced and enlightened regarding the healing properties, etc of kawakawa.
