Very good tutorial! Love your videos Andrea, Very informative and insightful, and also funny :) Good energy. Can you please upload a video tutorial about the side kick series on the mat? Just the basic way on how the hell balancing and finding the center? Also the advance version with the hand behind the head. Lots of love from Israel :)

Hi Yael - thank you so much for watching and for sharing your thoughts and questions here. I have a short Side Kick video coming out in just a bit, but it is not exhaustive and it's not really basic. So thank you for this suggestion. I will add your request to my list :) Thank you also for the love xox Side kicks is my new favorite Mat exercise!

Many many thanks for your dedication to creating these videos. I have struggled with the rollover for years and assumed that it is completely beyond my capabilities to even effectively accomplish controlled hip ups! Recently I discovered if I have a wedge under my hips kind of abutting against my lower lumbar region raising my sacrum I am able to access the connection to lift up my hips a tiny bit. Is this okay to do? Why do I need this wedge? Over time will I be able to do it without the wedge?

Hi Urmi, Thank you so much for watching and for sharing your questions here with me. Such a good question!! And you said it best - control is the key here even if you only have a little bit of lift, with control it will become stronger over time. 'Over time' are big words here. The wedge you speak of reminds me of the version of the Roll Over that can be done on the Spine Corrector or Small Barrel - just like the wedge you describe for yourself. You could kind of get at it from both versions really. Do the Roll Over in your Mat workout as best you can with controlled lift even if it is not much - and then afterward when you are warmed up use the wedge to do the exercise or one of the Pilates barrels if you have it. Does this make sense? I don't show the barrel version in this video - would it be helpful to you to see a companion video on how to use the barrel for assistance? Do let me know and I can add that to my list - more new videos coming soon as well. Keep up your practice and have a great day! xox

❤️❤️❤️ this! Really clear and useful 👍🏻 ... ooh the 90 degree lift.. now that’s a challenge 😳 also you have lots more lift - if that’s possible 🔝- has improving your lower body reach helped this do you think 🤷🏼‍♀️.. would love to know how you’ve worked on this please 😊 so looking forward to seeing you in September for deeply nerdy discussions 🥰🤓
