Gene - Thanks so much for this video and the great graphic, it's perfect. Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family! Loved watching it, very thorough. I especially liked the conversation about the speed adjustment at 140, never knew why ya'll did it but makes sense. Interesting comment about the 720 on the ITT. I suspect that's also operator specific? When I went for a ride with Boutique they were 730 or lower. I really appreciate how you ask for questions, receive questions and then make these delightful videos. I know you're busy with the "gig" so from my fellow desktop pilots that like to simulate the real thing, "Thank you."

Well this made my day...! Thank you kindly, my friend. That means a lot. Hearing these videos are helpful is what keeps me going. About the ITT... Yep, there are different SOPs/preferences out there. 720 (in the climb) is the most common. Some operators run their engines hard and hot to get the extra speed, but most prefer to extend the engine life by keeping the temps lower. Personally, I don't think the slight gain in speed is worth the extra wear and tear... These overhauls are *expensive.* Glad my Paint graphic was helpful. Eventually I'll need to step up my production game a little bit, haha. Cheers!

Great videos! Can you outline your procedures for a slam dunk and a high speed approach (ATC maintain 150kts until FAF)? Thanks

I think it would be great if you could do a video about operation of the stock autopilot in the legacy 12/45. Compared to "modern" autopilots, IMHO, the controls are widely separated and not so intuitive. Perhaps scenario based: [1] initial climbout on a heading to a specific intermediate (low) altitude at the given 150 KIAS airspeed [2] enroute climb on course to final altitude [3] enroute altitude change at a specified rate (uo or down) [4] terminal area descents at a fixed speed (200KIAS?) and specified descent rate (1000 fpm?) Thanks for considering! Andy Elliott

Hey, Andy. That's a great idea. I appreciate the suggestion. If only the autopilot was more accurately modeled in the sim! It's pretty unrealistic, so it'd be all but impossible to give an accurate account of the steps using the sim. And it'd be pretty tricky to do without a practical example in real time with just discussion. One of these days I'll try to get some in-aircraft video for the channel with a walkthrough of these steps.

Thx Gene for this Video. Quick question regarding the SWS PC12. I heard now different stories how to climb. Is it now with V/S around 1500ft/m or with a IAS around 150? Thx for your Feedback in advance

Airspeed is always primary for climb. Vertical speed is usually primary for descent. Cheers!
