Wow is all I can say, being a German/Swiss /Austrian railway modeller myself. This is one of the few layouts I have ever seen on display that actualy exhibit the wonder of the DCC contoil system. Trains stop and start VERY protoypically, accelerarting at the right rate for the type of consist it is, and both acceleration and braking to a full stop show that someone has taken a great deal of time and effort to set the decoders in all of the locos (tha I have seen so far at least) to match exactly their real perfomance in terms of acceleration and deceleration, so that trains start off really slowly (almost imperceptably) and equally come to a halt in a similar way, as do the real trains that are being modelled. My only complaint,, if there is one at all, is that perhaps the train speeds are a little slow once running along the main tracks, but other than that, you could easily be watching the real thing ! These guys have done EVERYTHING right. The DCC handling is superb, the rock faces and other scenic effects are "par excellence". If anyone wants ot use a model railway layout as an example of what can be done, THIS IS IT. No if's, no maybe's it is the dogs dinner by any standards.

Spätestens beim Forentreff am 23. September. Da geht´s u.a. mit dem Rollwagen in die Knuffinger Unterwelt. Auf Venedig bin ich auch schon gespannt. Vor zwei Wochen lagen da in den venezianischen Kanälen interessanterweise Carsystem Magnetbänder (!). Ich würde mal vorsichtig optimistisch auf eine Eröffnung im Frühjahr 2018 tippen...
