Piles of ISLAND AGATES, Fantastic Agatized Wood and Gorgeous Fall Weather make Perfect Rock Hunt

Kate, Jim and Kava head out on their boat to rockhound for agates on Montana's Yellowstone River. It's a perfect fall day, the sun is shining and the rocks are glowing, having been recently washed off by heavy rains. The agates are so plentiful that in some spots, Kate picks them up every couple steps! The adventure also includes beautiful drone footage (and Kava chasing her favorite toy), incredible agatized wood, colorful jasper and several unusual rocks that still have matrix attached to the silica. Put it all together, and it adds up to the perfect rock hunt. Come along!

I used to live in Glendive and find beautiful agates along the river. Also lots of fossils in the dry sandstone creeks

You might first try soaking it in vinegar for a week. If that doesn't get all of it, move on to a weak acid.
