So neat. Am I the only one to see all kinds of 'faces' in the stone. Fascinating... makes the tales of gnomes and goblins that come out at night, then change back to rock in the daylight seem plausible. Happy hunting.

Very fun day! I'm always amazed at your beautiful agatized petrified wood! It must be so exciting to try a new spot! That agate Jim found was extra superb and the big one you found was a perfect end of season agate! I made a video today ( the 7th of December) and didn't discover much in the way of agates! But witnessed some crazy mother nature!
@largent45 Жыл бұрын
Those are all some amazing finds! But you know me, the stromatolite was my favorite and the agatized coral thing you found. And the huge jasper with all the colors in it was amazing! And that jasper that him found, looked like a fossilized steak sandwich! And your chunky monkey agate is sooo beautiful! And huge! That banded chert is lovely too! And I'm definitely going to check out your Etsy! Thanks Kate and Jim! Happy Holidays you two!

It helps when you have the Eye for the prize. You definitely have it. I love the Bucket on wheels. looks like it would hook up to a bicycle. IDK that does not look like the original function but it sure is cool.

My wife is German and when you showed the jasper at 14:10, we both said, Shinken Jasper! - it looks exactly like a chunk of whole Schinken (ham with fat caps). We'd love to buy it!

Did that piece of petrified wood have worm holes in it or were the holes made in the rock after it was fossilised ? Love fossilised wood that knot was so cute 🥰 also love the glowing agates what a lovely way to end the weekend

I'm not sure, Fiona. The one Jim found definiitely had a knothole... but wormholes do happen!

I recently found a 33 pound petrified log the other day while walking the dog. I'd seen it a million times before but never close enough to realize it wasn't just a regular log. I was wondering what colors might be inside and if the outside indicates them?
@KatyDidRocks11 ай бұрын
Wow, amazing! The colors really depend on where you are, as they vary a lot by region.
