I love Bolivia. I used to do visa runs from Peru to Bolivia. Note to expats: Bolivia is a cautionary tale because it offered lower cost of living, but it was politically unstable. I live in Ecuador as we speak and Ecuador is struggling as well. Good reason to stay minimal in your purchases and value flexibility, even adopting a slow travel mindset because things can change in the country you select to live in.

I would say, I really like the fact that you love Bolivia as much as any person that was born there, I just wanted to thank you for your beautiful words about Bolivia, unfortunately it seems like Bolivia is destined to have turmoil, even though the people are so nice and there is so much wealth in the land. Y de como sabes que no son mentiras, lo primero que hace es mentir, diciendo que gracias por la nacionalización de los hidrocarburos es la causa de la crisis económica. Cuando es todo lo contrario, gracias a la nacionalización de YPFB el estado recibió el 82% de los ingresos y con esos ingresos se CONSTRUYÓ la infraestructura vial , fábricas, hospitales, termoeléctricas, etc etc etc.

Es un pais dividido a la mitad culturalmente, collas(altiplano-montaña) vs cambas(llano-amazonia), visiones de vida diferentes y la democracia era lo unico en comun, pero gracias al pdfil0 de Evo y su partido que goberno 20años, ya no hay confianza ni en eso porque rompio todo en lo que se podia confiar.

Te comento además que otros de los problemas es que argentina dejo de comprar gas a bolivia, ya que argentina ahora esta empezando a producir gas para auto abastecerse y exportar. Entonces bolivia además de no tener dólares por los motivos que comentaste tampoco esta recibiendo los dolares del gas que compraba argentina
